Unfortunately Victor, I am told, has been fired. I contracted with Victor to re-roof our house. Victor, as another reviewer wrote, was just fine and pleasant to deal with. His replacement John has been anything but and I would avoid him and Trudel, as a result. The contract called for the job to be complete by November 8, 2018 and it is still not complete by July 15, 2019 and this writing. The actual roofer who did the work was very good indeed but the work started too late and was not totally completed by the November 8 agreed to date. Trudel was to come back in the spring and clean up, ensure all nails were picked up out of the lawn and to replace / install an exhaust vent (which was included as part of the scope of work). Victor was fired sometime before February 2019 I understand. Trudel, after many many requests by me to complete the work and missed agreed to dates / promised dates to complete the work finally had the roofer come back in June. The roofing work was not complete through all of the winter as 1 roof vent hole was covered up (no vent installed) and this vent happened to be our master bathroom vent and so we could not put the fan on until the vent was actually installed in June, 2019 as a part of the clean up. Then again after many many requests, promised dates and again many many missed commitments (all documented via e mail) an additional exhaust vent, which was also part of the agreed to and contracted scope, was replaced in July, 2019. Only instead of the requested almond colour caulking to match the house and all the other caulking on the house. Jet black caulking was used and, as my wife said, it looked as if a "grade school student did the job" as the work was so very messy. As of today July 15, 2019 the contracted scope of work is still incomplete and over 7 months overdue as messy black caulking is still in place and many many promises to fix the awful job have come and gone. John claims they do not have the skills to do the work but any homeowner would have the skills to replace a simple and caulk exhaust vent. At over 70 years of age I thought climbing a high ladder myself may not be a good idea. Go somewhere else! I am happy that I withheld $3,000 but even doing so did not get the job done and the job is still not complete 7 months after the agreed to date. If you do go with Trudel despite these comments put in an iron clad must be completed by date and if not completed by the agreed to date (regardless of weather I might add) specify a financial daily penalty that the roofer will forego until the job is complete and hold back enough money to impose the financial penalty. read more

Victor was referred to me by a friend. He arrived for the appointment on time, was pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. The quote was reasonable (compared to the other quotes I received) and we arranged a date to do the re-roofing job. His crew were great, they did an excellent job over several days and cleaned up after themselves. No issues to report. read more
