I'd recommend asking for the total upfront because I definitely felt ripped off knowing I could've gone a couple exits down and got it for $45. Otherwise, staff is always nice and it's easy to get in and out pretty quickly.

2018-06 / June I…read moredrive a 2005 Chrysler that is now 13 years old. The odometer just turned over 100,000 miles... thanks to a short drive to the office the miles have accumulated slowly. The car's not fancy but is paid off and drives well... thanks to JB Auto. It's much better thanks to some recent repairs. They replaced the oil pan gasket, and now the small leak is gone from the garage floor (Goo Gone had cleaned the concrete just fine; I just wanted the leak to stop). That provided a side benefit that, removing the pan enabled all the oil and the grit and grime from the 100,000 miles to also leave the engine. Then we confirmed two of the three engine mounts were worn down, so JB replaced them, too. The car now runs and sounds smoooothe.... so nice. Thank you, JB Auto, for keeping the car running so well! 2017: Our car required no repairs for eight years, but a few these past couple years. After the last repair we explored trading-in for a new car. I wanted some more confidence in our decision. I knew J&B from driving past it, next to Ballwin City Hall, on a regular basis, but just hadn't called them until now. I explained that we just needed to make a "should we keep it or trade it in" decision. Grant helped get us scheduled quickly. Their review was a good one, thorough and competent. It happened to also provide good news... the car is incredibly solid now, and may just need a couple things as it approaches the 100,000 mile mark. That was comforting overall, and on the pocketbook. We look forward to returning to J&B as soon as we do need repair work and do recommend them to others, for their honesty and straight-forward way of making sure the cars we drive keep running. They basically just did not want to do the work even though I was willing to pay the price and then outright lied to me about how it had to be done. I went to Dobbs and watched the guy install both sets of rights in 30 minutes. I should have known better when my mom brought her 7 series of here and they wrote her seat controls and just told her these things happen. STL had 50 degree temps one day and then the next, an unexpected snowstorm. Our vehicle struck the rear of an 18 wheeler and our air bags deployed. Thankfully, we weren't injured besides the fact of seeing our life pass by in slow motion and fearing the worst. And again thankfully, a duallie transporting a horse trailer jack knifed into himself to avoid hitting us from the rear. After several hours stranded on 70, a state trooper offered us to warm up in his SUV. Another tow company began retrieving our vehicle with the understanding we'd become his passengers. But guess what? He left us! The trooper was able to get Prime towing to 'tow two passengers' while the other company got our car. My hubby and I ended up in separate tow trucks. Both drivers (Gary and Jeff) were patient, understanding, nice and all around good guys. We rode around with them for about an hour avoiding pileups and backups. They finally dropped us off while we waited for our friend driving to get us. BTW, I think Gary is the owner. If you ever need tow services, and I hope that you don't, please don't hesitate to contact Prime. They live up to their name by offering prime service.

When driving it home, as soon as I encountered rough roads I could tell that something was wrong with the suspension. Not wanting to go back to IL and knowing that the warranty was good at any VW dealer I took it to Dean Team on Manchester. It turns out that Auffenberg never removed the blocks placed in the springs for shipment. So remember, this was Certified Pre-Owned which means that it was inspected twice (once at new and again at resale) and Auffenberg missed it. WTH? My sales guy there was great, but the business manager was HIGH pressure on selling a warranty. Makes me wonder if they missed it on purpose. Dean Team fixed it in 30 minutes, for free. They have surely earned my future business. Auffenberg, not so much. It drives and rides great now, BTW. #deanteam #volkswagen

It was due and, apparently, most of the regular garages can't perform this service, even at the specialty shop I went to. So off to the dealership I went and everyone knows the deal with dealerships. Be prepared to pay a LOT more for services and parts. The transmission was as expected. Several hundred dollars for everything. Fine. My issue came with a sensor problem on my vehicle. The rear sensors, those that indicate a vehicle in the blind spot, when there is cross traffic while backing up, the system that indicates when you're getting too close to an object while backing up. Now I know I don't know diddly squat about vehicles anymore with all the tech they have on them but I think I know enough to know when things aren't right. When I asked for them to check the sensors they gave me an estimate of....what was it, $150? $250? Something like that? I couldn't believe it. Again, I don't know sht about this high tech stuff but I would imagine what I was asking for was for them to hook up the car to a computer that would be able to spit out the issue with the sensors in a matter of minutes if that long. I would have been more apt to pay for the repairs than to pay the amount of money they were asking for a diagnostic. That just perpetuates the stigma that goes with getting work done at a dealership. It's just expensive for no reason. *I* think plugging in the car to run a diagnostic while it sat there getting a transmission flush (or whatever they call it) wouldn't have warranted the price of the diagnostic. I found it ridiculous. So my Atlas goes on without the sensors working until I can get the second mortgage on my house to pay for diagnostics and repairs.

Dispatched with AAA for an accident we had back in December…read more Took over almost 2 hours to get there. (Even though business was located just a couple of miles away.) Which could definitely be attributed to the time of day/year as it was like 6am and right around the holidays. Maybe they had trouble finding a driver. I do get that. This possibility is why I gave 2 stars instead of just 1 star. Driver was extremely rude and brought the incorrect type of truck. This is inexcusable. Luckily the highway patrol called their own tow truck or else we would have had to wait even longer for this guy to go back and get a wrecker. (Also our accident was in an extremely unsafe area to just be waiting around.) I think they are one of the only towing options in Troy, but if something happens, try to find another towing options if possible.
