Reschedule #2: Called them when they were 2 hours late, "Oh, our plumbing job this morning went long. We're not gonna make it. Let's reschedule for next week." Reschedule #3: Showed up 5 hours late, did 25% of the job (and half of that incorrectly), decided to leave for another job, "I'm a sucker for kids and there's a woman with an autistic kid who needs help tonight, so we're headed out. Bye" Reschedule #4: Called 2 hours before the job (which was a nice when compared to hours after the job), "Sorry, the tech has food poisoning and can't make it. I'll call you to reschedule once he's recovered" Last appointment: Arrived, fixed the work from #3, finished everything up, and told us we had to pay an extra trip fee (since they came out twice) and 25% more because the job took too long (despite being less work then they originally agreed to). When confronted about all the delays, they told us to consider ourselves lucky because no one else would even bother showing up (and, to be fair, they showed up 2 of the 5 times they agreed to show up). When told we weren't interested in paying for the second trip fee or the time they spent doing it wrong, they pointed out how "my husband risked his life installing your ceiling fans and replacing your light switches! Smart light switches!?!? Do you know how dangerous that is!?!" I'd recommend avoiding them if at all possible. If you have to use them, don't prepay anything; they'll use you and then charge you more you for their own mistakes.
