I tried taking Easter off my first week being there and they said I couldn't even though I gave them enough time notice with me just only working there for 2 days before I told them. They decided to end the assignment for me which was fine but they never paid me my last days working there and kim,Erika and the payroll lady have the nastiest attitudes I have ever encountered. They are not understanding or know how to talk in a polite manner. I will be calling the cops and getting my money soon through court or whatever it may be

Great place to be employed if you want unfair treatment and having bosses harass you about…read morediscussing pay with coworkers. They consistently will let your fellow coworkers lie about their hours and essentially steal money. When you tell Connections this, they won't do anything about it. All they care about is keeping their contracts with these companies. I had a coworker who lied multiple times about when they showed up to work, saying they showed up HOURS before they actually did. The coworker also consistently smoked weed WHILE on the shift, and even took naps. So what did Connections do? They gave him ANOTHER position. The DIRECTOR of Connections, Wendy, knew that he was stealing hours, and that's why the company didn't want him back. I have the director on recording admitting to this. Then I called to ask for a different position, and they told me I had to wait at least a week before even HEARING what other jobs they had! Wendy admitted this coworker was moved because of him stealing hours, but when I called again on the phone, she denied everything. I got you on recording admitting it before though- so don't worry. Also, I'm not sure if anyone at Connections knows this, or if you do and you just like to harass your employees, but it is ILLEGAL to stop your employees from discussing pay. They don't want you discussing pay, because Connections doesn't want to pay you fairly amongst coworkers. I had called multiple times after hearing that my coworkers (who started months after me) were being paid MORE. Wendy (and others) told me that it's against their standard of conduct to discuss pay. I'll be filing a complaint with the US Department of Labor. I have audio recordings of both the discussion of coworkers stealing hours, as well as being bothered about discussing pay, so any response claiming I'm not telling the truth won't make any sense.

The people running the program are pretty friendly, knowledgable and entrepreneurial minded…read more However, I went to the week-long training class and I was kind of disappointed. They advertised this program as a program that helps you land the job you want, however it just turned out to be another generic job-readiness program that just puts you in whatever job they have available rather than what career you want and what your background is actually is. With the high-energy entrepreneurial people running the program, you would think they would have stronger career advice to give and be able to help you with a more individualized approach, but unfortunately they do not. The training class was pretty fun and engaging for the most part, and the teacher Cedric was a great speaker. However, what I had an issue with was how a huge percentage of the class was spent training us on warehouse safety and how to use a forklift. I'm sure that's great for people who actually want to work in a warehouse, but for everyone else it's a waste of time (so my recommendation is for them to hold the forklift training during a different time for the people who want it). I know for a fact that I'm never in a million years going to work a blue-collar job. I found it a bit insulting, because they get a lot of people signed up for the program from homeless shelters, rehab clinics, and those previously incarcerated, so it came across like they were talking down to us and assuming warehouse work is the only thing we would be qualified for or willing to do. And from my experience, warehouse jobs are pretty in-demand and they hire pretty much anyone desperate for a job. My feedback for this program would be to stick to their word about helping us land in the career we like, and do a better job meeting everyone where they're at in their career.
