If you get the three course lunch there are no paired wines. I suppose if you all come here to ask for pairing perhaps they will do it but I will help you. If you are dining in azay le rideau you should try either a chinon red which was 2020 lambert perruche which means parrot. It was lovely. My husband says it was excellent. It truly was an awesome experience. The amuse part bouche was 4 part. The three courses were excellent. You don't get to choose. The menu is sort of a surprise. A good surprise. We had the 4 amazing amusement bouche pre starter. Then for the appetizer we got langoustines beautiful and well prepared and our 4th got fish because he said he did not like shellfish. Well he said he was allergic to it. And then for the plat which is the main course we got filet mignon with cream sauce. And for dessert it was three sorbet and then after that they had a four course speed bouche with supposed coffee which we did not have because they wanted us to be in a different room for coffee with strangers which we did not want. It was nice. Truly a special situation. All for 80 euro a person including wine. Truly epic. The modern dining with air conditioning was super!

The manager told us there was a 60 euro upcharge for the main castle, which I was not offered on Hotels.com. So the room was okay. Up a flight of stairs and down a long hall. Our bathroom had a bathtub with shower sprayer. There is no tv and WiFi is spotty. The breakfast offering is limited but delicious. The croissants were wonderful. You fill out a menu when you arrive for the next morning. Furnishings in the main sitting room appear to be castle authentic, and there is a musty smell. Parking is tricky. This is a working tomato farm. A bottle of water is offered in the room. Other than that you should bring any other food and drink you want to your room. The restaurant on sight is not open on Monday for dinner so the staff made a reservation for us at La Cave, which is nearby and was delightful. All in all it was a pleasant experience and a fun stay!

We enjoyed the pool every day as it was quite warm this summer and it's really beautiful with a big lawn around it. We didn't dine in the restaurant, but it looked outstanding and if we hadn't had tired kids, we would've enjoyed it as well. It is on the river and just a short walk to all of the restaurants and the château itself. Highly recommended!

Le Choiseul is a great hotel in Amboise!…read more It's only 2 blocks from central Amboise and *maybe* 3 blocks from Amboise Castle. Fantastic location. The hotel's restaurant is amazing. You'll never mistake the guest rooms for a "boring" chain hotel. I was especially pleased that the staff prepared a quick breakfast for us. The night before we were to depart, I asked them if someone would be at the front desk when we checked out at 0400 and they said "of course" and asked if we would want coffee at that time. Little did I know, they would prepare a light breakfast for us as well. It was a great finale to our time in Amboise.

There are four floors of room with about 10 rooms per floor. Each room is decorated differently so it does not have the typical cookie cutter hotel feel. The Owners and staff are very friendly and happy to help out with tour and restaurant recommendations. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. In the morning the dining area is open with tea, coffee, yogurt, fresh bread and croissants, and of course my favorite - pain au choclat! Yum. They also serve fresh squeezed OJ and some cheeses and meat slices. It's self serve and you can hang out as long as you want. I really like the location because you can walk in about 10 minutes to either the main shopping area or the Old Town area which is full of great little restaurants and pubs. It also has easy access to the highways and the train station. Very recommended, but be advised they are doing a major expansion. The construction is only during the day and actually not inside but adjacent to the hotel, but it can be distracting if you are trying to snooze during the day.
