Taxi service in Fredericton is horrible, the worst I've experienced in the many towns and cities I've lived in. I've relied on Trius more than the others because their fares are more expensive, and in a supply and demand service business, I'm willing to pay more so I don't have to compete with other passengers. Trius disappointed me twice today, not just once, and in my opinion are just as bad as the other taxi companies out there. This morning, I waited 35 minutes for a taxi. It was just after rush hour and I wrote off the wait due to the time of day. At 3:40pm today, well in advance of even government rush hour traffic, I called for a taxi, then waited 30 minutes before calling to see where my it was. The dispatcher told me that a driver had already been there and didn't see anyone. I was wearing a bright yellow rain coat and was the only person standing outside. I told the dispatcher the taxi never showed, to which he LAUGHED, said the drivers didn't what they were doing, and that another car was on the way. I called again 25 minutes later. Twice no one picked up (seriously, what taxi company doesn't have an auto call attendant?), and on the third attempt, the dispatcher answered. I was quite blunt and obviously irritated, and when I told the dispatcher that it was going to be an hour's wait in a few minutes, he said the driver was on his way. When I brought up the fact that he'd already said that 25 minutes ago, and asked if he really meant it this time, he just hung up. He then didn't answer when I tried to call him back. At 4:45, after waiting 65 minutes, I walked home in the rain. I won't be "trying" Trius again, the biggest turd in a toilet bowl of crappy taxi service in Fredericton. read more

My driver is currently on his phone, texting and calling, driving like it is a racecar, swerving dangerously on icy roads. They were late, kept me waiting 30 mins during the slow time of day. Dispatcher was rude and condescending. This company uses multiple names online that all go to the same operator, same cabs. read more

Called and requested taxi, waited maybe 10 minutes. The gentleman who drove us was very nice, chatted with him the entire drive, it was a ten minute drive and he took the most direct route. Not cheap but I believe all taxi services have the same or very similar rates. Based on todays experience I would use this taxi service again. read more

sadly been having horrible experiences lately especially tonight where I was driven to my destination only to then be driveb to 2 different gas stations across the river and back to get cash out because his debit machine apparently wasnt working and then when that also didn't work drove me down to checker to grab another debit machine and speeds during all of this mind you clearly frustrated and it once again doesn't work and he proceeds to rage at me for not having cash and telling me he won't drive me around for free almost kicking me out of the cab before I finally had the sense to call the dispatcher myself and resolve it through e transfer. basically an hour and a half wasted when i clearly should've taken matters in my own hands from the beginning. read more

If you need a taxi, go ANYWHERE but here! Fredericton has the WORST taxi companies and this by far is the ultimate worst! They have been late EVERY time I have called -- every time! I have been late for work and university on a number of occasions. Last week, they were an hour late! How is this acceptable and how do they stay in business? Not only are the late but they are rude, arrogant and attempt to overcharge every time -- even though I know exactly how much it is! The last time I called, we were almost in an accident as the man almost hit someone and stated that it's because he is not from here and doesn't understand the rules of our roads -- it was a stop sign....he didn't stop.....? I called in to cancel a cab because, AGAIN, I was 30 minutes late for my class and no one had bothered to show up! When I called, I didn't even get out what I wanted to say before he told me to "F'ing call someone else next time then!" I called back again to try and speak with him and he told me to go ahead and complain if I wanted, he didn't care. Hung up on me again, mid-sentence. Sadly, no matter who you complain to, they won't get reprimanded and/or shut down! I don't know how these cab companies get away with this? Very sad! If this is the way they treat me, I would hate to see how they treat the elderly! read more
