Secondly, you are probably worried a professional coming in to "help you" will also be taking advantage of your situation to maximize their profit. We had a fantastic experience with Nick Alley from Dry Effect. He came in, gave a very thorough investigation, taught us a bunch about what to look for and how to prevent future issues. He gave us great options for both professional and home remediation approaches, and the pros and cons of each. Nick went way above and beyond helping diagnose one of the problems we found that looked like a water/mold issue, but that was actually unrelated. Something that they wouldn't make a penny on from fixing. We have since chased it down, and he was spot on with his diagnosis. It felt like a real partnership with a company I could trust. I am sorry if you need them, and I hope I never need them again. But if I do, I won't hesitate for a *second* to call them back in.

Do yourself a favor and RUN! The Bathtub Refinishing Solutions (BRS) 10-year warranty simply means…read morethat they'll fix their multiple finish chips and flaking as many times as they can and they will charge you for the privilege of messing up your house and losing use of your bath tub/shower. My install was on 12/26/24, and it was already chipped by March 2025. Their "lead installer" came out again (he was late, as usual) and fixed it. It was chipping again by July 2025, and I asked for a different installer who repaired it again and left me with a rough finish that I was told I needed to sand down on my own! It started chipping again in September 2025 and is now flaking so badly that I can scrape it off with my fingernail. I'm having another company come out to completely strip and re-coat my tub because BRS clearly cannot do the job properly, and they're just going to keep throwing multiple bad layers of finish on top of old ones. The representative from the new company I'm using sent someone out to look at the damage in-person, and he just shook his head and said it looked like no bonding agent was used at all in my initial installation. He also said this wasn't the first time he'd heard bad things about BRS. Now BRS is refusing to refund my $695 because they say, "chips and accidental damage are something that can happen, if not taken care of properly." It's just me and my husband using this tub! We've had it refinished twice before (via a different company) and both times it lasted well over 5 years with no chips at all. BRS also pointed out that they should have charged me to come out and fix the chips, but they didn't (and they should NOT have, given that the tub finish didn't even last 3 months). I've filed a complaint with the BBB, and next step will be hitting up the family lawyer (relatives are great!). Learn from my mistake. If it seems to good to be true, IT IS.

My Mr. called around a couple places and got estimates but most won't help us unless we spend 5 thousand or more. During the winter, we used the wrong salt and one of our steps cracked and we needed that replace and 2 other that were wearing down. The rest of the steps were fine and didn't need work. Companies that came out and looked at it was told we would have to replace the whole steps at a ridiculous amount. Some we had a hard time getting them out here to even look at it. Finally he found this company. They were willing to fix the three steps, clean and seal it at a reasonable price. I put down half the deposit in January but had to wait until March. Till it warmed up. Which was understandable. My Mr. was communicating with a representative named Daniel. He was responsive every step of the way. When that time came, they were super quick and it took only two days. I couldn't be more happier. I would highly recommend this company for concrete work. Solid.

The house itself was built in 1886, so the steps were likely made back then too. I made numerous calls to places but it seemed no one wanted to work a job less than $5,000... Until I found this place right on here. Am I glad I did? Definitely! They did an amazing job for a great price. I called them up in January asking about an estimate. Daniel came out to my place within days while I was at work to check it out. Luckily, I didn't have to ditch work to be there. He gave me an estimate of $2,500 to repair the steps and seal them, which would be a two day process, scheduled for when it got warmer around late March. The company requested 1/2 of the price as downpayment, $1,250. On the last week of March, the crew came in on Wednesday to clean the steps and patch, and they were very respectful to my property. The next day, they came back to seal it up, even fixing the three steps leading to my front porch withour adding to the estimated price. When I came home after thet were done, I was absolutely pleased by the job they did, especially for the price. My steps look brand spanking new and I have the peace of mind knowing they're safe. This company is super-responsive, very friendly, and truly great at what they do. Daniel and his crew did even better than I'd expected so I'd vehemently recommend their work to anyone needing concrete work. This company is legit for sure!
