Would we have continued coming here for 12 years if it wasn't so? During that time I've started dancing too. My sons even dance once in a while. This halau is like family and you are treated that way the moment you walk through the door. It has been great seeing my kids grow up with all their halau sisters and brothers. The wonderful ladies I dance with have all become my sisters as well. Kumu Renee is a more than qualified Kumu Hula (hula instructor). Certified at that! Not many Kumu out there are. She was taught by one of the best and it shows in her dedication to her dancers. She does not teach you simply how to dance, but you are taught the history, the culture and the language so you can dance educated. There are a lot of people out there who are taught how to dance but not taught the meaning. Hula and Tahitian dancing tells a story with every step, every sway or hand movement and she teaches us that. It's more important than learning the dance itself. Kumu Renee is very proud of her students and she encourages them through every stage of developing into the best dancer they can be. This halau is a performing halau. They do shows all of the time, for many occasions. But they also dance competitively. If you find yourself stopping by the halau you can see the many awards won in previous years. There are separate classes for the little kids, I believe the youngest dancer is 3! Then there are beginner classes, intermediate and advanced classes too. So it doesn't matter what skill level you are at, you can join. When my daughter first started here she had zero experience. After a while of course she improved and never looked back. It was one of the best decisions I've made to bring her here all those years ago. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I didn't just want the regular workout at a gym so, I decided I wanted to get back into dancing like I did almost 20 years ago. I went on to Yelp to lookup any local halau's near me and I ran across Hula Ikaika Ohana O Kaawai-E Honu Iti E in Tracy. I spoke with Kumu Renee and she made me feel right at home from the minute I met her. It's been since July 18' that I decided to join this halau and it was the best decision I made. All my hula sisters have been welcoming and encouraging. Kumu Renee is so kind, caring and passionate about her halau and students. I'm so happy I joined!!!!

As a Bay Area girlie who loves live performances but needs a seat and kind of hates crowds, I LOVED…read morethe Grand. I came here on a whim to watch All-4-One perform. (They did not disappoint.) Things I loved about the Grand: - Easy parking within a block (or two) via street and dirt lots. All of it was free parking. - Not fighting huge traffic other than I-580-EB on an evening. - Along a really cute downtown area that was about 3-4 blocks by 3 blocks. - Cheap snacks at the Grand that included beer on tap, wine, sodas, bottled water, candy, and nuts, all of which was very inexpensive by comparison to the Orpheum in SF. (Water, soda - $3; candy - $3; most alcoholic beverages were $6-9, IIRC.) - All great seating once you get inside. I didn't feel like there was a bad seat in the house. - Beautiful interior, just as ornate as The Orpheum. - Awesome lighting and sound, unlike the Golden Gate Theater, which has had terrible sound in the last two years. - Not a huge line to get to the restroom. - A space indoors for merch sales, for groups like All-4-One that choose to sell things. There's nothing critical or even nit-picky to say about my visit here. 5 stars. I had a great time, and I will be back. Tracy, y'all are so lucky!

I've been looking for a dance studio for a while and was so grateful to find En Pointe. My 5yrs old…read moredaughter went to Summer dance camp and loved it there so much we enrolled her for Ballet, Jazz and Hula for the fall/winter. We also enrolled her 3yrs old sister for Ballet. What sold me on this studio was when I watched Hazel, the owner reminded the children to be respectful of their Team Leaders at Summer dance camp. Ms. Hazel's demeanor is kind, gentle yet firm. You can tell she truly cares about her students and also teaches them good character. The older dancers were also good role models and well mannered. I wanted my girls to be at a place where they can learn to dance in a positive environment and grow with as a family. I can say we've found it here at En Pointe. I also wanted to share my experience with my 3yrs old. For the first 3 or 4 classes, she would cry and would not stay or participate in class without me there. I was thinking about withdrawing her and Hazel understood. She didn't make me feel bad or tried to talk me out of it. Then that next class, my daughter didn't cry and I didn't need to be there. Apparently she found it comforting to dance side by side with Ms. Tiffany. Eventually, Ms. Tiffany would get her back in line with the other dancers but it worked. From then on she went to class and participated and they are practicing for the winter recital now. I love how the instructors connect with each child to build a trusting relationship. Now my daughter gets excited and goes to class even before I tell her to. In summary, I'm giving 5 stars because: 1. Great location 2. Kind, organized Owner always has a smile on her face and very prompt with any emails or texts. 3. Professional and Patient instructors 4. Well mannered older dancers which are good role models for my young children 5. Relax atmosphere for parents and non dancing children in the waiting room 6. Gorgeous studio. Love their glitter wall. 7. I don't know anything about dance or techniques but my girls are learning quick and I see their developments and excited to see their recital this December. 8. Love the big screen TV in the waiting room where we can watch our dancers from. 9. The Dance Recital Costumes are so cute!!! 10. I see my girls dancing here long term and growing up with their classmates. It's a family environment here. Many if not all of the kids gets along so well. I would definitely recommend En Pointe to my friends and family.

As soon as I walked in I instantly felt a really cool "vintage" vibe - the kind that makes you want to stay and look at everything (Opposite of a large retail music store). The staff was courteous, personable & genuine, and not pushy at all (no used car salesman behavior). A gentleman named Jake waited on me. He definitely has a high level of knowledge about guitars. He even changed strings on an acoustic guitar that I was trying out, just to make sure I was getting a fair playing sound from it. I ended up buying a different guitar - and he gave me a complimentary set of strings that I got to choose. It's been quite awhile since I've walked out of a retail business, where I really felt like I was legitimately taken care of. I live in Oakdale, and even though Main Street Music is 45 min away, I will now go there for anything music! I'll also be telling my friends to shop there. Cheers
