Ordered from the 'vegetarian' menu the vegetables with cashew nut, only to find a piece of beef in it. Called to complain and I was shouted at by the lady on the till who we'd ordered with, who told me I was lying and that she didn't care. As she didn't believe me and was being so unbelievably rude, we drove back to the takeaway with the dish and the piece of beef, only to be shouted at again. We asked to speak to the chef instead and she told us that if we went to the pub after complaining he would "chop our fingers off". Eventually, after being berated for initially reporting it as pork instead of beef (irrelevant, as neither meat is vegetarian!) and for being difficult customers, she reluctantly refunded the £4.90. (No chance of a full refund for the £20 we spent!). Absolutely appalled - this take away has no understanding of 'vegetarianism' or 'cross contamination' and by their own admission do not care. Easily the worst customer service me and my partner have ever encountered. Please do not eat here. (Multiple other reviews also warn of the aggressive/'mad' lady!)

The Macdonalds is located a little out of town but a reasonable distance. Recently renovated and opened again on 9th November 2017 gives this a fresh and more modern look. The staff are always friendly and it's served at the speed you would except from this chain. I can't say they have always got my order right but fix it immediately with no hassle. Oh and they are open 24 hours Friday and Saturday.
