Was passing thru Pratt yesterday and saw this BBQ place right along highway 54 and decided to try it for lunch. I ordered the one meat dinner which came with two sides, I got the brisket, baked beans and potato salad. The restaurant smelled so good and the server was very good. When my food arrived looked great. The beans were excellent and the potato salad was homemade and very good. Large portions too! The brisket looked good, nice smoke ring and a healthy portion. Here is where the disappointment started: it was quite tough and chewy. Tasted good but it was all the little plastic knife could do to cut it. Brisket is supposed to be easy to eat, juicy and tender; this was not. I didn't want to complain because that's just not my style so I ate it but was disappointed. Everything else about this place was great, except the BBQ. The other options for meat were pulled pork and a hot link. Wish I had chosen the pulled pork. Great little place and maybe I just got a bad brisket that day. I gave it a 3 star based on the excellent sides but the meat was a 1 star unfortunately. read more

Great food! You might smell like Bbq the rest of the day . But, so good! The staff is great!

The food is great when you can get it. The service is always super friendly and the portions are nice. My only complaint is that they seem to run out of things a lot. IE, they cook a set amount and serve until it is gone. Last time I went, they were out of almost everything at 6pm on a Friday night. Call ahead and check before going if you have your heart set on something. read more

A BBQ joint in Kansas that I hadn't tried until today. Pulled in for a late lunch and chose the brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese. Cost me about $13 which is fair, it was ready to go in no time and was very tasty. Service was pleasant. The thing that struck me about Trinity was the care they took to make my to go order. I'm obsessive about junk on my hands and this box was neat and tidy (I know it seems counter-productive to make clean BBQ). I'd stop back in, in a heart beat. Very good bbq experience read more

Driving along US-54 through Pratt I decided to check Yelp and see what choices I have to eat. The #2 rated place in town was Trinity BBQ so I clicked on it and the map said 200'. Right there was the Pratt Hospital. The Map directed me to turn left there and circle back around the the City park and pool back to US-54 and there it was in a strip mall. They're only open from 11 to 2 & 5 to 7. Typically Common hours for a BBQ Joint. I know I owned one so I naturally snooped around back to look at their smoker. I could tell by the smokestacks they were cooking authentic BBQ. I arrived during one of their time frames where they were cooking, prepping or doing a 18-hour smoke. When I saw Lane D. Idiotically Gabe them a 1/Star rating because HE showed up at a time they were not open like I did but not the restaurants fault. Their hours are clearly posted in the window with Closed 2-5 posted twice in black and red. I decided to give a 5-Star review to counter the 1-Star. I guess the dummy doesn't care that his 1-Star drives their average for an overall ranking. Dude should use Yelp so he would show up when they are open. read more

5/20/2021 no longer need to wear masks! The person at counter was chatting with someone so we waited a bit to be seated. Long story short, service was relaxing and slow which I found to be interesting because of their limited menu, items were prepared ahead... my husband and I shared the pulled pork and it was delicious! Nice little BBQ spot in Pratt. I was on road for work, so I ordered at counter to carry out. Lady was nice and very helpful. There were about 10 tables for dine in customers. It was right at noon, but only took about 5 minutes to have my order ready. Lady at counter, who was also waiting all the tables offered me a drink while I waited. I ordered the Trinity Smokestack. It had all 3 of their meat options: pulled pork, chopped brisket and sausage along with 2 cheeses. It was available on a bun or TX toast and I opted for bun. Served with chips and a side, which I chose the beans. Beans were what I would call TX style, more of a ranch bean sauce than the KC bbq sauce. The meats were good, smoky and not dry. The sausage had some heat if you like that. Over all the sandwich was very good, the beans I enjoyed. I would have liked to have with fries instead of chips, but was not on the menu. I went 5 stars anyway, but some seasoned fries would solidify that rating for sure. Will return if in the area. read more

Best BBQ I've had in months! I travel doing hail repair so I'm all over. This place their food was fresh, meat melt in your mouth, great flavor! What I appreciate w the flavor was they didn't try to do too much like many do and end up ruining the bbq. They keep it basic w just the right amount of flavor to pop in your mouth and enjoy it! My father and uncle ate here on their way back home to Georgia. It must have been real real good--to the point that technologically un-inclined duo would have it no other way than for me to sit down and write a raving review of the BBQ. The Christian tinged restaurant must cook the hell outta some food. Trinity's odd hours might not be the best business model, but that kind of thing lets a customer know you should manage your schedule around owners Scott and Shaila Kemp's. Any inconvenience you have to settle upon yourself is worth in the words of my father "the best ribs I ever put in my mouth." Personally, I am a BBQ junkie and am more ofter than not disappointed in the less than up to my standards mediocrity of most establishments. I trust my father and I trust my uncle--enough so to one day make the 924.5 mile pilgrimage to this supposed holy land. If the Kemp's can make two Georgia boys babel about what's coming off a smoker in Kansas you should probably stop reading this and go check it out for yourself. read more
