I had very limited instruction before this and had actually gotten more nervous the more I practiced on my own. Jeremy took me back to the basics--grip, stance, trigger control, loading and unloading, and just understanding my firearm better. He explained things in a way that made sense without throwing too much at me at once. What I appreciated most was how respectful and professional he was. He never talked down to me or made me feel like I should already know something. He was calm, easy to learn from, and had just enough lightheartedness to help me relax without ever taking the training or safety lightly. He knew when to encourage me, when to let me stop and reset, and when to be firm if something involved safety. By the end of the lesson, my accuracy was so much better, but more importantly, I felt a lot more confident and much less anxious about anticipating the shot. I learned so much in two hours and walked away feeling completely different about shooting. I would absolutely recommend Jeremy to anyone looking for an incredibly knowledgeable, patient instructor who takes safety seriously and knows how to teach without making you feel overwhelmed or inadequate!

The online course content itself is .... fine...I guess.... but the video player technology is…read moreold-fashioned and leaves out several features that would really make this course more usable. For example, the video player: - lacks a full-screen mode - lacks subtitles - can't be rewinded if you miss something - doesn't tell you how much time is remaining I understand they don't want folks fast-forwarding all the way thru, but several times I wanted to go back just a few seconds to re-read some on-screen text (remember, the video is teeny tiny especially for those of us with weaker eyes) or repeat what they just said so I could take notes, and my only option was to refresh the entire page and start the video all over again. On a 2 or 3min video clip this wasn't a big deal, but some clips are 20+ mins long and having to start all over was especially frustrating. With the video player coming up the size of a postage stamp, a full-screen button and/or a subtitle option would really make it easier on students! The text-based content has a few minor spelling/grammar mistakes or missing words. The screen also doesn't tell you how many pages are left in a chapter. Again, this makes it difficult for the student to pace themselves or plan ahead (i.e. "I can finish this chapter on my lunch break"). As for the contents of the videos, again they are really old-fashioned. One video has a copyright from 1994. The videos don't acknowledge any modern vehicle safety systems (such as blind-spot detection, automatic braking, automatic headlights, or any kind of driver-assistance system that has been on vehicles for the past 10+ years now). There's also an awkward clip of the two men's velvety wing-backed chairs pressed firmly together, with their (the men's) legs almost touching. Why are these men sitting so close together?
