The music and the service are almost unmatched for their beauty. A large proportion -- probably a majority -- of the choir is affiliated with the Jacobs School of Music, so you will hear world-class, CD-quality music every single Sunday.
Trinity has a REAL commitment to serving the poor, the homeless and the disadvantaged community of Bloomington.
On the flip side: unfortunately, Trinity has cliques. Both my partner and I have observed Trinity can be a rather chilly church. He got tired of being ignored; and after I had played with Trinity's bell choir for eight months (and even composed music for them), and then left the group because I finally got a job in Indianapolis and could no longer attend rehearsals -- I received not so much as a peep back from members of the group in my farewell email to the choir.
My partner and I are both Episcopalians, and we both like Episcopal worship: so we started saying Morning Prayer in our home on Sunday mornings as our worship and we invited our neighbors to join us. read more
