The smiles, the hugs, and humane treatment you receive makes life what its supposed to be, full of love, full of life, and full of people like you and me. To us this is home to our spiritual growth, and the messages shared from week to week lasts a lifetime. We've grown a lot by coming here and we truly feel like family. On days when we don't make it to Church we have options to watch the services live online via mobile devices and Apple TV most of the time. The worship is invigorating and brings new life and joy of serving God. We are truly delighted to be part of this family and if you don't have a place of worship, don't hesitate to experience what we're blessed to experience often. Coming here has changed our perspective on Christianity: we love more, we give more, and we feel more closer to God. God Bless!

The congregation is beautifully diverse, and so is the ministerial staff. The music is uplifting, the message is powerful, and I always leave feeling inspired and loved. The Christmas show was absolutely fantastic, which led me to attend a regular Sunday morning service. It lasted just under 90 minutes, and I left feeling empowered, like I could conquer the world. I've been back several times since, and each visit somehow tops the last! Like others have mentioned, the only downside is parking. It's in downtown Montclair, which can get busy. I usually park at a nearby school a couple of blocks away and walk over which is not ideal for everyone, but it works for me. There's some limited street parking, but the best strategy is to attend the first morning service at 9 a.m. and arrive around 8:15-8:30. That way, you can usually snag a spot nearby. Overall, I have little to no complaints. Christ Church offers so much -- life groups, a children's ministry, a teen ministry, a marriage ministry -- so many opportunities to connect and grow. I truly feel at home here and look forward to returning again and again

For here at TRM, they are coming to Christ. Pastor Ray ( PRAY) is a youngman that Christ call to ministry at a very young age. His life challenges have not been one that did not require God Grace. and this has always been my prayers for him. Prayer Of Jabez Prayer of Jabez: What is it? The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." The prayer is composed of four parts. First, Jabez asks God to bless him. Second, he asks God to enlarge his territory or increase his responsibility. Third, he prays that God will be with him and stay close. Lastly, Jabez asks that God keep him from harm so that he will be free from pain. Prayer of Jabez: Why is it important? The Prayer of Jabez reveals that Jabez understands what many people do not -- there is only one God and He should be the center of our work God wants to bless every life. But, we must first make the choice to invite God into our life and ask for His blessings. Jabez wants to succeed and increase his sphere of influence for God. The specific sphere of influence is not important. What is important is that when we want to reach for goals and accomplishments that we have God on our side. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." It is critical to understand and practice this in a close relationship with God. Further, it is equally important to stay close to God and rely on His continued support and guidance throughout life. Jabez clearly knows and prays specifically to the One who can protect him from evil and pain -- God. At the end of the verse it is clear that God approved of this faithful prayer by granting it. It is also important to see that Jabez was passionate in his plea to God: "He cried out to the God of Israel." God wants to hear that we need Him through passionate prayer. May God bless you and keep you, IM . The Poyner family was very disappointed by the treatment we received from Rev. Jefferson Sr. He missed pronounced my brother's name, called him to come up to the speaker and he's in the casket. He was very rude to Pastor Fields who read the Poem Called a Message from Isaiah. After reading the Poem she began to speak on her relationship with the deceased who she has known for most of her life. He interrupted Pastor Fields while she was still speaking by saying Amen you are finished. He criticized the solo artist that sang my brother's favorite song by saying she should have picked a better song, because she seem to be struggling with the song, and if he was singing he wouldn't have picked that song. RUDE!!!!! The service turned into the Rev. Jefferson show. He never said ANY comforting words about Isaiah during the service, except when he pronounced his name incorrectly. The most unpleasant event happened when he went into the bathroom with his mic still on and the whole congregation heard him urinating and flushing the toilet. The lack of sympathy and compassion shown to the widow, Mrs Poyner was unacceptable and he definitely owes her and apology. $1,750.00 for and unacceptable Home Going Service felt like highway robbery. He never read the Eulogy or the Obituary. The service was rushed through and things were omitted, which left and unpleasant taste in many of the congregants mouth. Everyone exited the church in dismay about the way the service was conducted. Rev.Jefferson owes Mrs. Poyner an apology and a refund. I will be informing everyone that I know, friends and family NOT to attend this church, because it's run like a business for profit and not a church in which you serve God. Metropolitan Baptist Church is a church I wouldn't recommend to anyone searching to find the word of God.Stay away!!!!!
