Male nurse on duty 11/18/25 (evening…read moreshift) violated infection control protocol by not washing or sanitizing his hands before putting on gloves to draw blood. Additionally, he left a used syringe and vials with blood on top of a med table. An empty vial was observed logged between the gurney pad and metal frame. Also, he stuck bloody tape to the gurney's mattress cover. His technique for drawing blood was sloppy as blood spewed all over arm and blanket when he removed the syringe. This nurse failed to introduce himself upon entering the room and appeared to be disturbed. It appeared that the blood samples collected were compromised due to his poor handling of the vials he collected............ This was evidenced by the Lab who notified me 2 days later that the blood samples had been contaminated and results were not possible. Needle caps and used cotton gauze were o served on the floor. A section of the room's wall had holes possibly due to the removal of equipment. The clock on the wall needed a new battery or repair as it displayed 7:00 for the entire 3 hours we were there. The letters of a sign posted on the wall to indicate the duration of certain standard emergency room procedures were faded beyond legibility. This is obviously an urban/inner-city hospital in need of a massive overall and an injection of millions of dollars and retraining of professional staff. Considering reporting deficiencies to NJ Dept. Of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

The anesthesiologists were great in making sure my son had no issues with anesthesia and Doctor Gat who performed the surgery was amazing. The pre surgery nurses were great and were very patient with my son who was nervous.Everyone was on their game and definitely knew what they were doing. The post surgery care was also very good. I highly recommend this hospital. My son has special needs and everyone here was so compassionate and understanding. Was seemingly lied to and belittled by every ER doctor here. Was told by a Dr Kelly " oh you feel like you can't breathe, What do you expect me to do there's nothing, what what" As also told by a Dr Kelley that four broken and possibly infected teeth would not cause breathing problems because respiratory is not connected to mouth at all (lie?). Dr. Womack and Dr Grayson repeated this. Dr Grayson also snapped and said heck if your teeth are bothering you see a damn dentist. We don't care about that here. Was told by a Dr. Silacci " your trouble breathing and heart problems are not the concern of this hospital." Was told by Dr. Davis "why are you expecting us to help you, how dare you expect us to fix your engine when this place is for tune ups. (Doctor likened patients to worthless pieces of scrap metal.) A nurse one time even put the pulse oximeter on my middle finger, showed me my own middle finger, laughed and then exited the room. Very bad. Hospital says that they will help you regardless of who you are or your ability to pay. They will not. I've had trouble doing things all my life. No one is really going to care what is really going or why something happened. Just shut up or TS. Things never really do get better as they say. Don't come here expecting them to save your life because they probably will not. Only worse. Don't know a place that is good to go as the healthcare I experienced in the area has only been bad. A patient tower and parking deck need to be added to the hospital, and then add a few more things. More needs to be done from the Corporate system not just for Cooperman Barnabas and RWJ in New Brunswick but for RAHWAY as well. Lets start a major addition and campaign

The doctor was very caring but the administration people has a super irresponsible attitude. I was discharged the following morning with a copy of the report. Upon checking the document when I was waiting for my flight home at the airport, I discovered that the whole copy of the document was half blank pages. I called the hospital immediately telling them what happened and for asking how to get a decent copy of the report? The staff received the only way was I had to go there in person to get it due to privacy. I want to say, since they are supposed to be professional and know the rules well that no one can get the report except the patient, they should have done the work properly. If they are tired of their job, they need to find some other work that don't require such kind of responsibility. So far, I've observed that many medical professional in US are having very bad attitude. Knowing that they had to due with people who are mostly sad as they are sick, if they can't handle, do something else. Sorry!

I needed to go to the nearest children's hospital to make sure our scare was just that...a scare and not a serious reaction. They were professional, well staffed, and saw us within an hour of arriving and checking in. Vitals had been checked and read to determine urgency within 15 minutes of arriving. That is the sign of solid health care. So for now, that's all I can say for this facility as we had no other services necessary. When it comes to my kids the service needs to be the highest quality. All I did was give them my daughter's insurance card...I did not have to fill out 30 repetitive forms. It was actually a non-stressful experience. Very happy with the quality of care here.

I…read morecame back Tuesday around 12:20pm in the afternoon to get it read and pick up my results with my service dog. The female doctor that starts with a V. I think its Verionca or something like that had came from upstairs and started harrassing me stating that i have to pick up my service dog that was just quietly laying there not barking not going by anyone because he is trained to do so. As a was trying to explain to the female doctor that it states that i dont have to carry him because he is not bothering anyone and being that he is a service dog it states by law on the floor is normal which he is comfortable with. She started to rise her voice, talking over me trying to prove a point about my dog that I still did not carry because i didnt have to. She then began to rant about her having 2 dogs as if that was going to change the fact that she was yelling and complaining all through the doctors office just to still give me my paperwork back without me carrying my dog. I will never go back here and if i do its going to be with mt mother. I believe she is about 60-70 years old so i understand her ignorance and misery. But you picked the right dog to bother because i sure was not leaving until i said what i said.
