My girlfriend bought me this trike flight for my birthday and it lived up to its hype. The trike itself is pretty small, but that is what makes this adventure so exciting. Jim will go high in the air and let you see the wonderful views from up top, but will also fly pretty low to the ground the let you see things close up. Take off was so cool! He'll ask if you want a fun roller coaster like take off, or if you want an easy take off. He's so personal and answers any questions that you have. Found Jim online while doing some research in Austin. Came out with my cousin for a morning flight with Jim. From the very first phone call he was absolutely a pleasure to work with. Very informative and accommodating. We arrived at Double Eagle airport and the weather was perfect. Jim thoroughly explained exactly what was going to happen on our flight. Once we got to the Trike he walked us through the setup and we were ready to fly. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! Better than I imagined. Book a trike flight, it's so much fun! I also can't say enough good things about Jim B., the owner and instructor at Trike Rides. My bf and I were visiting Albuquerque in our RV, staying at a nearby RV park that was fortunately a 5-min drive from the Double Eagle airport. Jim so graciously offered to pick us up and drop us off for our flight - and he did this 3 times, since the first couple of times, the wind kicked up and we weren't able to fly. The three of us even went out to breakfast one morning after one of those cancelled flights. He's such a great guy and helpful in every way. I feel like I've gained a good friend. If I'm ever back through Albuquerque, I would definitely contact him and do this again. The flight was roughly an hour and we flew over the Rio Puerco valley. It was beautiful! You feel the wind blowing in your face and imagine that that's what birds must experience in flight. Jim even hands over the controls so that you can try your hand at flying the trike for a little while if you like. So much fun, can't recommend it enough. read more

I just got back from an incredible trip to Albuquerque and Santa Fe for the Balloon Fiesta. We made sure to book a Trike Ride with Jim before our arrival. My boyfriend and I each took turns going up at 7am and 8am for an hour long flight. It goes by so quickly I honestly wouldn't recommend a shorter flight! We were able to see the sunrise, the Mass Ascension, and the gorgeous New Mexico landscape from a perspective most people won't ever see--I lived in New Mexico for some time and was still shocked at how beautiful our incredible state really is from up high! Also, the Trike Ride itself is exhilarating. I felt safe the entire time with Jim's capable piloting, he's also an excellent tour guide and plays tunes while you're up there. Be sure to dress warm, but the jumpsuit and helmet you wear keep you incredibly cozy. I can't wait to review our GoPro footage from the flight--it was such a memorable experience I told every one of my friends to go see Jim. I highly recommend to anyone! read more
