It went smoothly with my debt they did everything they said they would I can't complain

This stupid account magically appeared on my credit report for an account that was paid in full back in 2014. I don't nor never disputed the debt and have since paid it off, not sure how these fools managed to open another collections account for an issue already resolved and closed but trying to get ahold of this company is an utter joke! Experian already took it off, now just waiting for the other two agencies... what a nightmare! read more

i have called verizon about a bill thats from 2013. Verizon doesnt have it nor does Frontier. Trident asset has the acct. which they will not take pymt. over the phone. i was asked to just send a pymt to the address listed with a self addressed envelope to get a settlement letter. i said no way cause i have no confirmation # nor do i have a acct # from u. She told me i can go online. my responce was really with no info to provide right on. So i started a case thru transunion & a month ago i have a lady from a co. named dynamax who is calling to ge tthis settled. i call tranunion back to ask if they have record of this compnay at some point having this account or how 2 different companies have the same acct. transunion said they only have verizon & trident as companies who have ownership. so now i hhave to wait til the investigation is complete. read more

I checked my credit report and I was referred by Credit Karma to contact Trident Asset Management because they own the delinquent account that appeared. I did not have an account number or any other information, but I clearly was willing to provide whatever search material was needed for them to locate the account. I was rudely "greeted" by a woman named Mia who spoke to me like I was a five year old and repeated herself three times with "YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT NUMBER" each time I said I didn't have one. She told me to calm down when I grew agitated at her rudeness, then when I said "You're being rude, please transfer me to someone else," she hung up on me. I called back four times and she hung up on me each time. She kept saying "Keep calling back if you want to speak to someone else," though she was clearly the only person answering phones. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and I'm finding a lot of solace in the fact that I don't have to pay them a dime. Had she not been so rude, I probably would have paid her the money to get the credit hit off my record to be done with it, but in my attempts to circumvent that rude woman, I ended up finding out it was a fraudulent charge. I have the bank and the police backing up the fraudulence, so I'm in the clear, but unfortunately for Trident Asset Mgmt, their unprofessional and rude associate cost them over $600. Jessica: 1 Mia: ZERO I would love to have complained to someone above her, but the company website has no contact information other than through snail mail, and she clearly is the only person who answers calls. When people are calling you to clear up a credit issue, chances are that they are already frustrated... how is it good business to let rude people handle that kind of customer service? That woman will drive your business into the ground. I have a feeling she is related to the owners, so she was probably hired through nepotism. My deepest sympathies to whosoever must do business with that wretched woman. read more

I've been trying to get a hold of someone at this office for the last week!! - I got some information on my credit report saying that they have a collections on their account, and I am absolutely willing to pay the $200 that is noted on that debt even though I don't remember having an account with the original creditor, but how can I figure anything out if I can never get a hold of anyone at this company??? #Frustrating read more

Trident Asset Manage or Trident Asset Management LLC is a fraud. It showed up on my Credit Karma app as a Derogatory Mark on my credit. I don't owe anyone money or have bad credit. This is shady so be careful and try to fight it to get it off through Equifax and TransUnion. Good luck!!! read more

Trident Asset Management - SHADY BUSINESS HERE BEWARE - Investing Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

Trident Asset Management collets on behalf of some companies that have purchased fraudulent debt. The only way to get Trident to admit the debt is not valid is to submit a complaint to the CFPB. Trident responded to the complaint and closed my account within 4 hours of complaint submission. https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/ It was addressed so quickly that it leads me to think they know a fair amount of the debt they are trying to collect is fraudulent. More details: Several weeks ago I checked credit karma and found a derogotory remark about $42 debt owed to Verizon home cable services five years ago. I have never ever held a Verizon account. I contacted Verizon and verified that they have no record of me ever holding an account with them. When I told Trident this, they said I need to provide proof of a different ISP during that period. Because it was 5 years ago, my acutal ISP does not have readily available records of my service. Equifax closed 2 opened disputes while I was waiting for proof of my internet service. Don't even bother trying to dispute it on the phone with trident, just submit a letter in writing notifying them that you officially dispute the debt. Then follow up with a CFPB complaint. read more

I can't understand why they only have 1 rep working in this company!! Regretfully i have had to deal with a nasty & rude Mia lady!! She has no respect. When I informed her that her attitude and customer service was awful, she told me that they are bill collectors & not customer service!! WTH?!? Just as the previous reviewer. Mia has hung up on me as well. read more

This is a SCAM!!! I have contacted the BBB and IRS, as well as the FBI to investigate them! My niece who has never had credit history due to her young age, had a collection from them showing up on her credit report! After doing some further investigating on the internet, I found there were thousands of other people claiming this place to be a fraud and trying to ruin their credit. read more

In December of 2014, our home was broken into while we were away and numerous items were taken including our checkbook. On April 25, 2015, a check was written from our checkbook to Ameristar Casino for $502.50. (Interesting how the thief waited 4 months to use one of our checks.) Ameristar Casino accepted the check even though we had closed the account within 24 hours after the robbery in December. Orion Portfolio Services apparently "purchased" bad debts from Ameristar Casino and then hired Trident Asset Management, LLC to collect the balance due of $527.50 which included a $25 returned check fee. For the last 4 1/2 years, we have gotten phone calls and letters from Trident Asset Management to collect this debt. It has affected my credit report. Finally, after being worn down by Trident and desiring my credit report to be corrected, I go to their website after receiving a letter that they would settle for $263.75. Getting tired of their nonsense and wanting it off my credit report, I follow the instructions in the letter and go to their website. I click "Make a Payment". I enter the Trident Account # as indicated on the letter. I enter the last 4 digits of my SS#. I get a message "Account Not Found". Not only do I not trust them, but I now intend to go to other resources to get this resolved. This company is a joke and apparently very dishonest. read more

Go to this website: www.optoutprescreen.com and opt out of, having the different agencies give out your information it's good for five years. I haven't spoken to anyone, I just received a letter from "Myself" that was sent to them asking them for all of my information, now after reading all of the complaints on this company. I hope that they didn't give anyone my information before, my credit is shot and now I know and understand why. I will be calling on Monday and I wish that Mia would get nasty with me. I don't live that far away and I'm calling the BBB on Monday morning as well. Lexington Law Firm just moved a bunch of there accounts off of my credit report, and it's starting to look good again. I do hope that the authorities do something about this company, they have been in business for 9 years and have a B rating on the BBB site, but they're not with the BBB so that was their grade when they first started out. Let your voices be heard and also go to the website that I provided. read more

I have tried every number I can find for this company and it's either disconnected or no one will answer. I didn't even know I owed bmg anything now it's on my credit report. Anyone know how to solve this situation?????? read more

These thugs have tried to get me to pay a bill that was in collection years ago ( Verizon) that I settled!!It's even listed on another credit report that it was settled but still they refuse to remove it. Shady, unscrupulous, and refuse to remove the black mark they put on my credit report. I will NEVER pay you the 234.00 dollars because it was SETTLED years ago, but this trash agency can't figure that out. If they say you have a debt, do your homework because probably you don't. They're not worth even 1 star but that's the lowest rating I can give these losers. Beware! read more

I'm disheartened by this company. A lady named Mia called me and said I owed for a returned check from 2008. I questioned her. She was rude. this did not belong to me and I've never had a checking account with the bank she said the check was drawn from. Since her call to me in March of 2015, there has been another nsf check added to mt credit report. Neither of these are mine. They have 2008 dates and I've never been contacted by mail regarding them. My credit is good, but these two derogatory items can effect a decision on future credit approvals. Does anyone know the process for getting them to remove these two items? I've sent paperwork to the 3 bureaus to have them removed, but as of today, they are still there. read more

I have kindly clled and asked twice this week for help, and instead got attitudes ,i just want to get help and pay or settle and account and but yet havnt got any....they shouldnt work if they are going to act like jerks every time you call...hell i just wont pay.they should want to help get the issue solved. read more

They said I owed a bill from 2013 and the original creditor was Verizon. I talked with a very rude female named ASTRID. She told me to go to the police station tell them that I didn't have Verizon in 2013 and file a report then send them the copy of the police report, I said miss its 2018 I'm not doing that. I then asked for a supervisor and she hung up on me. I called back later after contacting Verizon which I was told I never had an account with them. Low and behold the same lady ASTRID answered the phone. I told her what Verizon told me and she then asked me to take an address down and to mail them a letter asking for a verification of debt and to obtain a copy of the judgment. I said what for its not my bill she proceeds to tell me that if I see the bill I may be reminded its mine. I said its not mine and delete it off of my credit report. Remind you they don't have an account number for me and they don't have my phone number. This company sucks and trying to get them to delete this off of my credit report its going to be a task but I wont give up. They are very rude, unprofessional, nasty and impossible to deal with. Good luck everyone. This company should be closed down. read more

Wish I could give it less then one star. This place is a joke. Despite disputing (multiple times ) a never owed bill they refused to remove it from my credit report. I decided to pay it just to clean it off my report. They do NOT allow you to pay by phone, ok you go to their website which you cannot access your information without an account number, which of course I don't have as I don't owe them! I call and some Elizabeth gives me some rediculous account number and then mentions their website may be down for a few days! I wait and call and get an account number and am told I will be able to email myself a receipt post transaction, of course this didn't happen. I call again and am told the only way to get a receipt is to MAIL them a self addressed stamped envelope!! Are you kidding me? I wouldn't allow this rediculous un-efficient place to manage my lunch money. Bad enough they rip you off with a bogus bill but refuse to give you timely receipt when you buckle and pay it. read more

They don't know what customer service is. They buy fraudulent accounts and then refuse to listen when you call, refuse to give you their fax number to send documentation, lie to the BBB and say they will remove the account from your credit report and then don't. Mia is the worst, blatantly makes fun of you on the phone and says she doesn't care that it's a fraudulent account. She's refusing to close accounts that are documented as false. read more

That jerk Mia or Mio , (whatever her name is) has hung up on me over three times and all I wanted was basic information on a debt that I have never opened but was sent to them. I was nice and friendly as I was dealing with another collecting agency for a similar situation and they were nice and helpful. The fourth time I called I got another lady, I think her name is Jessica, and she was very helpful and nice. Please fire Mia!!! read more

This company place an "account in collections" on my credit report more than 3 years after a supposed incident. Fortunately I have Credit Karma which alerted me to this fraudulent negative report on my credit. When I contacted the company who I had never heard of or from previously, they claimed that they paid a debt for me and that I owed them $557. I was tempted to pay it just to make it go away, but then I Googled the company and saw that this is their MO. They try to coerce people into paying bills that are not valid. When I told them this was invalid, they said "Too bad. We paid this amount for your bad debt and you now owe this money to us." What a ripoff, scam company. I have also reported them to BBB! read more
