I made an appointment with this practice because they offered me a quicker appointment than the other practices that I had been in touch with. Even though this practice is an hour from my home, I needed an appointment ASAP because I knew my prescription was out of date, and I was in desperate need of a new prescription, I was confronted with a very hostile attitude from the receptionist (Heather)who snapped at me that I had not filled out my forms prior to my appointment. However, I did attempt to fill those forms out online, but was unsuccessful as it would not allow me to scroll to the next page after I finished filling out the page I was on. I was then told that my copayment would be $10 for my exam and 35 for my retinal imaging, I was not prepared to spend that much. Considering how much it's going to cost me to get glasses and in this economy the extra $35 was definitely not in the budget but even more importantly, I that done last year and I do not have any conditions that make it a necessity for me. I was given an option to have my eyes dilated, but I was returning to work, and did not want to deal with my eyes being dilated for one to two hours. I stated that I did not want that part of the exam I just needed a new prescription . I began to fill out my forms when I was told that I would have to reschedule my appointment because I had declined the retinal imaging and it was the practice policy that it had to be done. So not only did I drive an hour for this appointment I took time off from work and also gave up an option to go to another practice because this one was the soonest I could get in. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I called three other practices to find out if this was mandatory for other practices and they all stated that there was a waiver that could be signed so I am glad they lost my business. they lost the appointment, as well as two pairs of glasses that I was prepared to order through my flexible spending account. read more
