Our regular vet was off and no longer takes emergency calls after hours. For some reason, my dogs only have emergencies and illnesses after hours, LOL! Dr. Parker's staff was warm and welcoming on both the phone and in person. They fit us in to address our French Bulldog puppy's issue. Dr. Parker performed the surgery immediately. He made recommendations for a restricted diet which we followed to the letter. Unfortunately, our pup started to bleed again and we were concerned, so we took him back to Dr. Parker. Again, it was after hours. Dr. Parker and his staff were lovely and very kind to us. The took Tigger right in and kept him overnight. Fortunately, the bleeding incident was minor and Dr. Parker fixed him right up. The bleeding was unrelated to Dr. Parker's previous care. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Parker and his accommodating staff. We would highly recommend the Parker Vet Clinic to anyone in the region who needs quality veterinary care at a reasonable price.

They both have great compassion and a wonderful staff. I have used both in the past weeks and only have praise for them. The staff was very friendly, and the waiting room is very spacious allowing you distance from other pets. As mentioned the waiting rooms are a little more cramped enough for one large dog and one person. Waiting time to see the vet was very short though which was nice, and the staff was very friendly. They also do boarding for pets. We haven't used the pet boarding service yet, but I think they only take them out twice a day, and depending if it's a holiday you might not be able to drop off or pick up your pet.

I think it's very cruel to do major surgeries with no painkillers. it's not common practice. Not to mention the fact that when his assistant told him I wanted painkillers for my cat he started cussing and getting angry about it. The office staff told me they don't use any painkillers cause they interfere with anesthesia which is just false.

The other "vet" charges 4 times as much for me to take a goat to them for a hoof trimming as Dr. Davis charges to come to my goats and do all 3. When I had an emergency with one of my babies, he came out in a severe storm as soon as he could to take care of them. My goats all love him he is so gentle with them. Only bad thing I can say is he doesn't charge near what he's worth. We take our dogs to him and he's every bit as good with them. Couldn't ask for better.

I asked if I can bring him in right away. They said, "We can't fit you in. Sorry." I begged and said he might die. They did not care. They told me they might be able to fit me in the NEXT DAY in the afternoon. I slammed down the phone and said I'd never be back. I called Wedington Animal Hospital, and they didn't ask any questions. They said to bring him in IMMEDIATELY. I did, and they saved him. He was there for a couple of days, and they made sure he would recover and be OK. They will always be our vets as long as we live in this area. Hamish loved the people, and he's now 12 years old and as feisty as ever.
