I was planning on buying a Chevy spark they had on their lot. When I sat in it I noticed the check…read moreengine light was on. I asked why it was on and I believe his name was Don said he didn't know. I asked if he had an OBD scanner I could check what the code was. He brought one out of the office. He said he didn't really know how to use one. I happened to find mine in my glove box so we had 2. He said his OBD was newer and better and to use his. I laid mine in the passenger seat. I plugged it in and P0016 and P0017 were the codes. I looked them up and they were crankshaft and timing chain faults. It looked like the timing chain was either off the mark or stretched. I popped the hood and immediately saw red transmission fluid leaking and puddled underneath the car. Someone had smeared Silicone gasket maker over the leak to try and stop it. It looked horrible and very noticeable with transmission fluid leaking from it. I told Don the codes and he got VERY angry. He told me to get my stuff out of his car and leave! My mom who was with me told Don there's no need to be mean. Then Don said maybe it was a code leftover from a diesel truck he had used the OBD meter on. But wait! Didn't Don pretend he didn't know how to use an OBD meter! He then told me to use my meter. I used mine and the same 2 codes came up. I told him I got the same codes and he told me to leave! He said he'll have the car sold by tomorrow. It was a beautiful car. And I'm sure he will sell it tomorrow. But it was a lemon. I heard Don was a hothead. I can attest he indeed is. Bottom line is stay away from this place!
