I found the service changed from what it used to be when I bought my first Ford there in 2013. The service managers used to go out of their way to give you friendly and helpful service. Oil change at Tri County Ford. At next oil change I did it myself. Found that the dealership service department didn't put announcer in the oil canister of my 2015 F150 2.7 V6. They also stripped the threads leaving metal shaving in the engine. So not let this dealership service your vehicle. No apology, no response back from dealership. Buyer Beware. Purchased 2020 F150 w/ 29k miles from this dealership less than a year ago. Already been back to their service dept. twice for overheating and now oil pan leaking. A plastic oil pan by the way. Service manager stated since we are 2k miles out of warranty we would have to pay for it. He stated he "can't" do anything to help out with the oil pan. Keep in mind that there have been numerous problems with this generation of F150. Also, new generation of F150 no longer uses that oil pan due to how problematic they've been. Kept truck for 9 days with no updates or explanation as to what was taking so long. Had to get a rental car. Very poor communication. Poor service. Side note, we also own a 2010 F150 w/ 195k miles. No leaks. No issues other than typical maintenance. Service tech admitted that F150's not what they used to be. Good to know. No need for management to respond to this review as you have already given me a 1-800 number to voice my dissatisfaction since you chose not to go to bat for me. Remember, can't means won't. Service manager will only recite warranty info and Transportation Safety Dept. guidelines. Service dept/manager WILL NOT do the right thing. Ford has not and will not do the right thing either. $2400 for oil pan, oil change and tire rotation! Unreal. Proceed with extreme caution here. Do your homework. Terrible experience. Wouldn't let me charge my car for 20 minutes so I could get home safely to my children. Car ran out on the side of the road in freezing weather in the snow and tow came 9 hours later. Only ford vehicles allowed to use their charger. Will never purchase or recommend their dealership to anyone I ever speak to. Not the best idea for generating leads and sales, Paul. Placed my appointment online and showed up 15 minutes early. Pulled up and pulled right in. The whole store was spotless and very clean, The restrooms were very clean and nice. A very nice waiting area with tables and chairs and some softer over by the TV with plenty of room. The staff was very friendly and asked if I need anything which customer service was great. They never question why a Chevy owner would be doing at a Ford dealership lol. Well to answer that is that Nick at Knox Ford sold it to me and told me to take it to Tri-County. I can't say anything bad about Tri county Ford the only bad thing was the drive, 71 and Gene Snyder are both messed up. Thank you for the service, I will be using you from now on. I called on an advertised truck that unfortunately had sold. The next day they called me back to see if I was still interested because the sale had fallen through. I was so I and asked Tiffany Martin (Client Care Specialist) to send me a link to the truck and the window sticker. I have grown accustomed the pictured vehicles in advertisements not being the actual vehicle for sale, but in this case the features of the truck matched the advertisement. I told her I would like to buy it and would put down a deposit, but suddenly the price was now $4,000 more than the advertisement she had just sent me. I asked to talk to the sales manager. I was told he was on another line but he would call me. Apparently neither Sales Manager (Ryan Burton nor Andy Fred) had the time or spine to call me. instead Sales Associate Hunter Bronke called, rudely explained to me that the advertised price doesn't matter, the price now is what it is, it's nonnegotiable, and abruptly end the conversation! I called Tiffany back and asked to be put through to the voicemail of the Sales Manager. I explained I would like to talk with him about his truck, that I was a cash customer and that I could pick up the vehicle and pay that day. I never received a call back! A company that lacks integrity in its sales office undoubtedly lacks integrity in theirservice or honoring warranties. I would NEVER do business with this company. Things to know before you buy: The sale was made initially because the warranty for the used vehicle included the drive train as long as we own the car and get service done at Tri County. We didn't find out that the warranty began 90 days after we owned it, until we were signing the sale papers. We did not find out there was only one key fob until we were taking ownership, and was told the price of the second would be $230. After 2 weeks we offered to pay for half, which was $115, which we did. Dealership did not tell us that Sirius XM came with the car and the dealership never activated it. We'd had it for 2 1/2 months, and Sirius called us to renew. Sirius/XM activated the car radio but they wouldn't give us the free time we'd already missed. Windshield washer didn't work, which we didn't know until we needed to use them. One was actually broken. We had those repaired at our time and expense. It has been 4 month and I just notice that the mirrors are different colors (one white and one black. When we called Tri County to explain these problems, they did said they were sorry, but did not offer any help to repair or compensation. read more

I love this place! For much of my life, most things pertaining to car repair made my stomach drop -- any shudder, grind, or clunk made my heart fall a little, knowing that I may have to take my car in. I had a number of repair shops take me for a ride when it came time to fix my car. All I had to show for it was a hefty bill and no resolution to whatever problem plagued my vehicle. After buying a new car last year, I was frustrated to realize early on that it had some transmission issues. After calling around, I was referred to Tri-County Ford to get my transmission serviced. From the first phone call, Tri-County put my mind at ease. Everyone that I spoke with was friendly and professional. When I spoke with Lyle in the service department, he patiently explained the common issue with my make and model of vehicle, reassured me that it was under warranty (and even quoted off the cuff what other major parts were under warranty and until what mileage), and worked me right in at my convenience to have my car serviced. I've had to take my car back since for some tweaks (not Tri-County's fault -- from the get-go it was explained that my particular make and model may need periodic updates, all under warranty). While the drive to Buckner is out of my way, I'm happy to make the trip for the exceptional and friendly service. Tri-County also offers a shuttle service that will drive in to Louisville, lessening the inconvenience that may ensue. If you prefer to wait, their clean and open customer lounge offers complimentary coffee and popcorn, as well as some other snacks for a nominal fee. Take my word for it and give Tri-County a try for your next car service needs. I hope that you'll be as pleased with them as I have been! read more

I just wanted to take a minute to brag about Lyle in the service department (I hope I got the spelling of his name right). I have a 2014 Ford Focus, which has the recalled transmission. Recently, it had been acting up more than the norm, so I went ahead and gave them a call. Without hesitation he scheduled me right away, he was VERY personable, and VERY easy to work with. Be very careful when purchasing a car from these people, especially salesperson Mike McCann. He did not review any fees with me. They will not tell you their fees upfront. They charge $400 processing (getting your license plate, which you could do yourself for free) and $250 sales person commission (a test drive and typing your info into a computer. He spent most of the time browsing the LSU website). I had to call about 6 times just to get the code to my car door because Mike McCann did not follow thru on a basic piece of information, and he wanted me to drive back there to get it reset until I talked to his boss who was able to find it. I began calling my bank to finance after Mike offered me a rate through Park Community Bank which was about the same. He then told me to get off the phone because he had a better rate sitting there. He did not tell me about the $199 fee the bank charges. I found this out months later and called his boss, Mike Miles, who said that Mike McCann doesn't know about that fee. The bank is required to tell the person booking the loan about this fee. This information was not relayed to me. Mike Miles hung up on me when I told him I didn't believe that Mike McCann could have booked several loans without knowing about this fee, especially because Mike Miles knows about it. I am an honest, straightforward person and told them I expected the same treatment, which they assured me would happen. I don't appreciate a bunch of salesmen at a car dealership taking advantage of me because I am a woman. Be warned they are stereotypical car salesman whose tactics are less than honest. read more

Dealing with Tri-County Ford was a stressful, dehumanizing process that I can't recommend to anyone looking for a car. During my car purchase here, I had several issues. For one, the salesperson kept pulling their face mask below their nose, which defeats the purpose of the mask, and puts others at risk. Another smaller issue is that they won't let you pay anything over $2000 on a debit card, and we were told this something like five minutes before the local bank closed. But the larger issue in my opinion is that the sales manager at this dealership, Manny Rodriguez, is inflexible, mean, and doesn't have the customers' best interests at heart. I had a slightly complicated situation involving an auto loan. Both Manny and the salesperson were aware that we'd just come from the bank and had been approved for an auto loan. Due to a system error at the bank, however, the check couldn't be printed until the following day. We asked to put a down payment on the car, take the car home, and deliver the check for the remainder the next day. That's an offer many dealerships would have accepted, especially given that we lived 90 minutes away and had already been to the dealership twice trying to buy the car. After all, they have all of your information -- a copy of your driver's license, your SSN, your address, footage of you, and a contract saying you owe them money. They could repossess the vehicle if it came down to that. I'm sure everyone reading this has seen TV ads for cars offering things like "sign then drive" events where you can sign an agreement, pay no money that day, and leave with a car. It's not unheard of. Still, they refused, and told us they'd only let us leave with the vehicle if the entire balance was fully paid then and there. At this point we'd spent the whole day away from home, it was getting dark, and we'd been whittled down into reluctant agreement. We paid in full, but not using the auto loan. The next day the bank was able to print the check we'd been approved for the day prior. At the bank's instruction, I called Manny and spoke with him about it. I explained what the bank had told me to ask him, which would entail paying for the car in full a second time, with the funds coming in part from the auto loan and the rest on a down payment, and them either not cashing an earlier check, or to write us back a check to cancel out the first one, leaving them with every penny paid in full. On this call, Manny declined to alter the transaction, which was from less than 24 hours prior -- which I could understand, as frustrating as that is for me. That's not that much of a surprise from a car dealership, although there certainly are dealerships that would be willing to do just that. But Manny was very harsh and unsympathetic to this situation, despite the fact that he and the salesperson knew that the auto loan was how we had intended to pay in the first place. I'm a polite and respectful person, but Manny didn't treat me the same way I treated him. He didn't even feign sympathy for how I felt about this situation. Instead he talked down to me, and actually lied to me by saying that what I was asking wasn't even possible, before hanging up on me after less than five minutes. Buying my first car was supposed to be a joyful occasion. But Tri-County Ford made it a joyless one that I won't soon forget. read more

Most recently we bought a 10+ year used SUV that had just been traded in a few days before we took it home. Unfortunately, we experienced problems almost immediately. We have been very unhappy with the service department because of our last two interactions with them. This morning we were told that you can no longer schedule a maintenance appointment in advance. My husband has a job that requires him to travel out of town Monday - Thursday so Friday or Saturday service is our only option. When he called to try to schedule an appointment he was told that Friday was one of their busiest days and so they couldn't guarantee our car could be serviced the same day on any Friday, and most likely we would have to leave it and pick it up on Monday. This is for a routine service and also a repair of the rear view camera which is malfunctioning. This is not an option for our family. Last fall we tried to make an appointment for a routine maintenance check online, we were called and told 30 minutes prior to the appointment we thought we had booked online that they weren't accepting any more cars that day and we were told not to bring it in. Tri-County Ford doesn't seem to respect or value their customers time and we will not be doing any future business with them for sales or service. read more

I was recently contacted by Tri County Fords internet department after using an online vechile search system. The woman asked me several questions and then sent me an email with "no hassle pricing." I set up an appointment to come look at a truck and arrived early only to find out the vehicle I came to look at was taken home by the service manager. On the way to look at the second truck the salesman told me, "...you know everyone buys on the internet so we make sure we have the lowest price". After looking at the second truck I sat to talk about pricing only to find out the advertised "no hassle" price was over $6,000 less than the actual truck price before any fees, taxes, etc. When I produced the email the sales manager told me that was the Ford employee price and I didn't qualify for that price. I asked why they would send me an email with that and he said they just send that to everyone and I would have to scroll to the bottom of the webpage, after following the link and click on another link to see "my price". This is a very deceptive and misleading practice, and false advertising of a "hassle free" price. read more

He never stood up. He sat is big ass in the chair. He told me that Ford had decided to eliminate brochures and that I should go online to get the information. What a horrible experience with trying to get the truth out of our salesman and finally walked after 2 hours. We ended up at the Oxmoor dealership, which was better and we are now the proud owners of a new F-150 Truck. This dealership is the worst place to take your car. My car started overheating on Interstate 71 late at night. I parked my car at Tri County Ford and I wrote on the drop off envelope that I already know about the bad radiator and called them in the AM. They said we charge $125 for diagnosis. I agreed and told them I know about the radiator leak and wanted them to check the thermostat and the water pump. Two days later they call me and tell me I have a leaky radiator and it would cost $700 to replace it. I asked if they checked for thermostat and they said no that they would have to do the radiator. I was upset cause I already knew about the radiator and they basically wanted $125+ for telling me something I already knew. Anyways I decided to tow my car to a repair shop in Louisville where I paid ONLY $252 for the replacement of the radiator and thermostat replacement. I provided the radiator. Bottom line I will never do any business with Tri County Ford. read more

My husband and I bought a 2003 Chevy Cavaliar from the dealership. A few days later the sunroof broke. The dealership refused to fix it. A few weeks later the brakes went out and the dealership told us to drive it back to their shop so they could fix it. We had to drive it for an hour on the interstate because they refused to tow it. We almost were in several accidents because the brakes wouldn't work. They fix it. A month later the car died in the middle of the road. We towed it to our mechanic who told us that that timing chain had broken and it had ruined the motor. We called the dealership concerning the matter. They told us the mechanic had lied. They took it to their shop. The dealership couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. On Weds. they told us they had hooked up the car to a Ford computer but the computer woudn't tell them what was wrong. They said their mechanics didn't understand what was wrong with the car. Two days later they confirmed the timing chain had broke and ruined the motor. They told us the car should have never left the lot and that the inspection report had been falsified. The dealer who had done the inspection had been fired. They kept the car and the money we had poured into it then said they would place us in a new car. They told us we needed to bring $1000 dollars for the downpayment. They put in a Ford Taurus. The contract showed that we had traded in the Cavalier even though this was not the case. When we asked if the money we had been paying into the Cavalier had gone towards the Taurus they informed us they couldn't do that because it was a new contract and they had forgiven the loan. We told them if you have forgiven then loan does that mean we will get our money back. They said no. The car went to auction and we never received any payments. At that time we had made $3,000 in payments on the Cavalier. We have been making payments on the Taurus. My husband and I have paid $9,072 on a car that is only worth $3,000 and the note is only $8,995. When my husband and I moved to Indiana we informed the dealership of the move the dealer verbally harassed us for an hour on the phone. It was so bad we had to hang up on them or the dealer wouldn't stop yelling at us. A month later we filed a BBB complaint against the dealership. We tried to work with the dealership but the dealership wouldn't not listen to us. My husband became disabled and has been on disability. When the dealership wanted to send us a new contract we asked them to lower the payments. They agreed saying they would make it easier for us. When we got the new contract out payments were not lowered. Instead they were increased. The unpaid balance is listed as $7,890. When we asked what happened the dealership told us the owner didn't want to lower our payments because it would extend the contract out by three years. I called several lawyers afterwards who told me the car dealership had committed fraud and I should sue them in small claims courts. They told me not to sign the new contract and to negotiate with the dealership. We tried to talk to the dealership. They said they would work with us and then the next day they responded by repossessing the car. They did not give us fair warning of the repossession. Our personal belongings were in the car and we were denied access to our stuff. I called the dealership and they yelled at me once again. read more
