We brought in our portable stairs to try to get him up in the wash but they were too wide to fit through the tub opening so we had to leave. On our way out my husband told the employee at the register that our stairs aren't working out either. Her response: "I can give you the number to customer service." Now why the heck would we want to sit on the phone with customer service when we just told her ... someone physically working inside the store -- that something was wrong with the ramps in the dog wash and they slipped from under our dog? Ridiculous. Never going back there ever again. We actually stopped buying our dogs food there a few years ago because we found MUST LOVE DOGS in downtown Grand Haven. Birdhouses are definitely the focus, though, as they have so many options of feeders, houses, and food. I stopped in recently to get a new feeder for my backyard and got a solid recommendation for the things I would need as well as what kind of birds to expect and how long it would take for them to start coming. Our backyard birds seem to love the seed mix that we bought here-maybe a little too much because we're going to have to stock back up every week. My only complaint is the price. Definitely more expensive than going to a big box chain store. I like supporting local but wish supporting local didn't always cost 2-3x as much.

The staff is consistently friendly and happy to help. The male manager often offers to carry items to my car and has kindly done so several times. I also love their rewards program! You have several redemption options, and you're not capped at just $30 like Petco. Even their pet supply reward is $5--which is more than what PetSmart offers. If you appreciate great customer service, flexible rewards, and a positive shopping experience, this is the place to go!

The owner asked us first to make sure our pup does not have any dietary restrictions. They carry some toys as well and chew toys/enrichment items to keep boredom from setting in. I ended up getting my up a nice toy, a few interesting treat bags (puffed collagen, some cookies, a bag of training bits, and a few chew/churros sticks -- blueberry, honey, and cheese flavors if I remember correctly).
