Are you kidding me? That is beyond ridiculous. It shouldn't take that long to take some xrays and just clean my teeth! Their NEW hire, a hygienist (enough said) is way too slow and chatty! I miss the days of being in and out in 30 minutes or less. The doc is good, the front desk always super nice and helpful, the assistant is always fun to talk to but my time is too precious to me. I took my son for an evaluation for braces on 12/15/25. I met with the dentist, Kathleen M…read more Hargaden. She was pleasant, explained the process and provided me with lots of great information. I really liked her and was looking forward to using this office for my son's braces. She made us feel comfortable and was genuine. On the same day I emailed Wendi (insurance person) my ins card along with dad's insurance card to confirm coverage. She advised she would call me back to confirm coverage. The following week I had not heard back and called and spoke with Wendi who informed me she was still looking into the coverage. I gave it some time since the holidays were approaching. Early Jan I called again, since I had not received a call back and Wendi advised me that she did not have dad's ins info. I said, how could that be possible when you confirmed you received it during the last conversation and you stated you were waiting to hear back from the ins co. She said she would call me back. She called me back about 1 hour later and confirmed she did have it and that it was with someone else in the office for pre-authorization. To date I still have not heard back from the office. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication and customer service I will not be moving forward with this office. It is a disappointment since I really liked Ms. Hargaden and was looking forward to her services.

However, the counter ladies there failed to do all these with all office paperwork inefficiency. I had to go back to the office three times to have document information corrected and I still finally brought back home with a credit charge receipt that shows a time exactly 100 years ago (should be 01/18/2022, but was printed as 01/18/1922). First, home address that shows township (becomes different town) was wrong, despite that the first time I was there I gave them correct township name. Second, when I went back to ask the clerk to change back to my township that contains two words, she erroneously processed the two words as one and insisted on not being able to make it the correct township name because the computer made it that way! I pointed that your business address shows "Green Brook" as the township name, why couldn't you make my address "Green Brook" instead of "Greenbrook"? With big reluctance she finally had it corrected as if she had done me a big favor. Last but not least, After I got home and began to do the insurance paperwork, I was surprise to find that the credit charge receipt shows exactly 100 years ago (01/18/2022 was processed as 01/18/1922). They said it could not be changed, and it's ok and let insurance call if any problem. I did not want to wait until the insurance company challenges the payment date/year, then they said they refunded me the current charge and charged my card another time, but still with the same wrong 01/18/1922 showing. The key issue is not only the processing errors, but their business protocol. For the paperwork errors that they made, I went back and forth four times to still bring back home the receipt that shows 01/18/1922! From the beginning to end, I never heard a word of apology for the big inconvenience that they caused me. Instead, people there showed total impatience and belligerence. They sounded as if the errors were made by machine/computer, but not their total negligence. They only need money to be charged, and show total indifference to anything else. They do not show any business professionalism.

I tried to explain this several different ways to the dentist, but she seemed to not understand what I was saying, not sure if it was a language issue 2. Ive been trying to make an appointment for 2 weeks-it is an emergency and I have throbbing pain that I have been treating with Ibuprofen and numbing gel but my fear is that it's a cavity and it will become worse or I will get an abscess if left untreated. They have been NO HELP. I called the dentist herself and she said she could not see me but could do a telehealth visit. Not even sure how a dentist would do that but what a joke. 3. I told the receptionist (Manuel) that I wanted to try and get an appointment before my vacation. He said he couldn't accommodate me for over a week even though I explained everything above and that my condition was painful and could get worse. Because my insurance lists only them as my provider, I didn't have a choice but to take what they offered (also why I was waiting in pain for 2 weeks for a call back). I made the appointment only to get a call back immediately with him asking me where I was going-totally reasonable given the climate today-but I'm only going to NY to visit family for 4 days and explained to him such. He said the dentist still would not see me! I asked for her direct number and called the dentist and she did not answer the first 4 times I called ... benefit of the doubt maybe she was busy but also maybe she was trying to avoid my call...so the 5th time I called she answered she wasn't helpful at all, and then said she could see me if I was only going to NY Bottom line, this office doesn't seem to care if patients are in pain or in managing their office in a way that is helpful to patients trying to make an appointment. Luckily my husband was able to get me an appointment with his dentist SAME DAY at 630pm (I didn't realize I'm listed on his insurance but am so glad I am)! I'm going to ask my insurance to change my dental provider immediately and if anyone needs the name of an amazing office with awesome staff, lmk and I'll give you the office that took me same day when I told them about my horrific experience with Middlesex Dental
