Lots of alcohol to purchase as well and open 24 hours which is a major bonus.

I'd never been further west than Bristol, which I admit as a Brit is rather woeful. So I couldn't help but admire the rugged coastline and invasion of Portuguese Man o' War jellyfish seeking out juicy recipients. Boy oh boy the waves were standing tall yesterday, lapping the low tide as I got a pang of nerves and kept my friend's bags warm while basking in the low 20s. The shop is actually a considerable hike up the road, so we opted to pick up a board (a tenner) and wet suit (a fiver) from the lovely Gabi stationed in her 4x4 along the beach. My brave friend waded straight in, unconcerned with the white fizzy foam enveloping her body. A sight to behold in more ways than one. I was just overwhelmed by the remoteness and beauty of the place, a special beach for a special weekend.

It is quite a big store and stocks a large raneg of the basic items that people want and need. This store is located in the centre of Woolacombe, with a selection of other shops. There is parking outside but this can be very limted in the summer months when the village is busy. The store is a 5 minute walk from the beach so it is good for those days when you are lounging on the beach you can get stuff onthe way to or from the beach.

Stays open late so picks up the trade from the nightclubs on kickout, but stops selling alcohol at around 10.30pm. It does have some good deals on wine every now and again, but its generally cheaper to pick these things up at a supermarket. Basically this store is a replacement cigarette machine now that these have been removed from Newquay pubs. Comes in handy every now and again.
