She claimed they can't bill insurance for the first visit but subsequent visits would be covered. I should have walked out right then. But I was already there so I proceeded. After speaking to my wife we agreed it did not make sense so the next day I called back to get clarification and then the receptionist changed her story and said they ARE billing my insurance and the $130 is just a fee they charge new patients. She straight up LIED TO MY FACE when I was there in person. I asked what exactly this fee is for and then she claimed "she doesn't know, she's just the massage therapist and she'd have someone named Maria call me back to explain". WHAT A SHOCK, MARIA NEVER CALLED. It's not a surprise they charge this fee. The business clearly isn't doing well. They don't have a real receptionist, the office and the equipment are old and dingy, and THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A CREDIT CARD MACHINE. The receptionist literally had to type in my credit card number. I called doctor Cata and he was willing to connect with my structural chiropractor back in California, he took the time to have that conversation and allowed me to schedule with him, even though I'm not a regular patient. I'm already sold on the benefits of structural chiropractic, and if you aren't I would absolutely recommend that you give it a try. He explained what was out of alignment, how he was testing it, and why he was making the adjustments he was making.
