I have been to Dr. Josie a few times, as have a number of my friends for a number of services! First of all, when you step in their office, you are welcomed by their warm staff and are offered lemon water or coffee. Today, I arrived 10 minutes early, so I expected to hang out for a bit, but I was attended to by the Medical Assistant almost immediately. After we took some photos, I was brought to a room for Botox. Dr. Josie came in and explained everything to me, greeted me warmly and most importantly, conversed with me during the injections as a distraction. I very much appreciated this. Her staff has always treated me quite well. I would ignore the older reviews. This office knows what it is doing! Like the other reviewers, I, too, had purchased a groupon for laser hair removal for Fresh Skin. What a GREAT experience! The office manager, Michelle, is a lovely person, very polite and professional. She always greets you with a smile. In fact, the whole staff is so friendly and always say hello. I have had laser hair removal several other places around the country, but this office is my favorite. Based on my great experience with the har removal, I recently did some Botox with Dr Josie. They had a good special that they sent me via email so I decided to try it. The doctor explained what I needed and what to expect. I LOVE the fact that Dr Josie herself doesn't look fake. She is not full of fillers and botox, like many other plastic surgeons/dermatologists I have gone too in the past. Plus, she is very sweet, down to earth and has a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend this office and tell everyone about it because its a hidden gem! Dr. Tenore is is a perfectionist , great listener , patient, and takes pride in maintaining a natural look for her clients. I was first introduced to Fresh Skin for sleep issues and I went to Dr. Ryan Lombardo to try acupuncture. It made a huge difference and I like that he is not only an expert on acupuncture but also anti aging and health and wellness. Dr. Josie is awesome and I can trust that she wouldn't try to sell me on products or procedures that I didn't need. I have had facials, botox and especially love the BBL to help with sun damage. They have oversold a groupon, so its impossible to get an appointment. When you finally do get one, don't even consider cancelling your appt. They will try to charge you $75 even if you are sick. The receptionist is arrogant and not interested in helping anyone. I don't think this type of service will work in highland park or any where else for that matter. read more

I initially heard about Fresh Skin through Groupon when I bought a laser hair removal package - which I promptly forgot about for 9 months. Anyway, before I went, I checked out their website and saw they were running a special on chemical peels. So I decided to get one and check out their office before my laser appointment. I was very impressed. Their space was luxe and spotless. Leslie was the technician that gave me a chemical peel. She was great- knowledgeable and caring. Most of all, I felt safe. It can be a little nerve wracking to get a chem peel, so you want to be sure you are in good hands. I was. When I went back for my first laser hair removal, it was the same thing. I very much appreciate their caring, professional attitude. Both Leslie and Dr. Tenore spent time discussing my skin needs and educating me on the latest technology/products, but were in no way pushy. They were upfront about pricing too. I had laser hair removal for my underarms done here about a year ago, which I purchased with a Groupon, and I'm still very happy with the results. The office was clean and technicians were professional. There is convenient parking in the adjacent lot and it isn't far from the highway. Very pleased with this office. read more

This place is horrible, very unprofessional, came in for laser treatment with Dr. Jose Tenore the 1st laser treament caused MAJOR damage to my skin & she refused to give me a refund on a package I paid almost $3,000 for ($1,000 per treatment). I have been a patient of Fresh Skin for almost two years and came due to an ongoing problem with facial Rosea, a condition that I have been battling for more than 20 years. Almost without exception prior dermatologists have prescribed medications such as Tetracycline or Doryx, which clears up the rosea but is tough on the stomach. Dr. Josie was the first one to try a laser approach and the results have been remarkable. Getting off of the medication and having my face clear up has been wonderful and I highly recommend this practice, especially if you have a skin situation that you feel will never improve. Also, I have not encountered the high pressure sales environment described in other reviews. It doesn't mean they are wrong, but after two years I simply have not had it happen nor have I witnessed it to other patients (my wife and daughter are also patients). read more

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this business to anybody. After spending over $2,000 for medical weight loss guidance and products, my skepticism for their genuine concern was displayed time after time. Everytime I saw Dr. Josie she would bombard me with how I must spend my money on new tests, new products or overcharge for products (or just for her time, which was $50 for a 10 minute visit) that can be bought elsewhere for less. She never remembered me from each visit, but would pretend to remember who I was. Dr. Ryan was the best part of the experience. He would take the time to hear weekly challenges and try to give helpful ideas on how to handle the struggles and still be able to manage the weight loss program. Like I said I had spent well over $2,000 dollars there and have paid monthly in increments that made it possible for me to purchase any of their diet programs. Yesterday I received a warning to contact collections because I have $83 dollars left to pay and threatening that if I didn't pay it in full, immediately they would send my name to collection. After paying approximately $1,900+ and wholeheartedly planning to pay the remainder this month on time, I solidified the luring feeling that Dr. Josie cares only about her business, not the people that frequent it. I have been successful in business and feel very strongly that leaving the door open for future business and word of mouth is what keeps business alive. I would never go back to Fresh Skin nor would many of my friends that have been before. The absolute only reason to go is to seek out the caring and intelligent Dr. Ryan who should really branch out on his own. read more
