Agave plant

What I love about Tres Mujeres was the way it was set up. First you get to learn and see the process of brewing the tequila. You get to see the agave cut outside and stored in containers. Second you get to walk into tunnels and see how the are stored and get to take great pictures pictures. Last you get to get on top of horses for an extra fee. The tour was in English and Spanish.

Tres Mujeres offers a good tour and sweet tequila. They also have a couple shops and places to get food on-site. Really enjoyed thier paletas and they have great places for pictures with open agave fields.

The cooked blue agave, ready to be mashed and fermented naturally.

Most excellent small distillery tour at Tres Mujeres. We had a private tour with an English-speaking tour guide. He answered all our questions and was given samples. There was no up-selling of their products in the tour which we appreciated.

Not my favorite stop during our tour of Tequila. But it is usually included on the many tours to and from Tequila. It was the first stop of the day; they let us sample a few different varieties of tequila, and of course, ended in a gift shop. Although the tequila wasn't my favorite, it was an excellent spot for photos!

One of the best tours you can do on the way to tequila. Their tequila is good and the tour isn't very long. We truly enjoyed coming here and checking out the agave. Our tour guide spoke perfect English and he was helpful at explains the process of how tequila is made. Over all a cool experience.

Great device loved my tour and they had great tequila! Nice sized gift shop as well, I bought a cute beaded bracelet.

We've previously visited Tequila but this was our first time visiting Tres Mujeres. I've done a few tequila tours and although it's not my favorite it was a good experience. I loved their rompope it was delicious! I think I enjoyed it more than the tequila lol and I love tequila. They also have an almond liquor and that was impressive as well. The duration of the tour itself was about 45 minutes and the guide spoke perfect English. I loved that you can purchase cantaritos so you have a refreshing drink as it gets quite humid in Tequila! My hubby and friends had a great time, glad we stopped on the way to downtown Tequila. When in Mexico don't forget 1 tequila, 2 tequila, 3 tequila, floor!! Our trip to Tequila was one for the books for sure! Can't wait to return.

One of several tequila manufacturing businesses in tequila Mexico. It's further from the town square, but has the entire gambit of the tequila business. Staff are great and are bilingual if you don't speak Spanish.

It was an awesome experience getting to see and learn about the tequila process. Lots of fun, lots of tequila was consumed this day.

I was having a great time until Monse interrupted our presentation and she was very unprofessional and very inconsiderate of our time.

Great tequila but staff at the store was utterly aloof. No eye contact, no offers of assistance, and no smiles.

We traveled by air-conditioned bus and were constantly given tequila shots, while shopping, and eating, even on the bus. So when multiple folks told me this was the tour to do, I was skeptical but I was wrong. It ended up being a wonderful tour and they did a great job putting it all together. I left with a much greater appreciation of Jose Cuervo and the higher end options they sell.

Until then, everything we asked for was possible (traveling by air conditioned van for the day to multiple tastings for Tequilla aficionados and discovering lots of small, unknown brands). That day, a tour guide who has not heard of any of this shows up in her own compact, no air conditioning car. She knew nothing about what we had been told. It was frustrating- we traveled from the US for this special birthday celebration and what was promised should have been delivered. No amount was deducted from the bill for any of this, Mickey couldn't care less once he had received the fee about anything else. Disappointing.

(Jose Cuervo is owned by Germans and Sauza is owned by Japanese). The tour starts at the central plaza of the town of Tequila. Be careful because a number of different tour operators will approach you and you really have to be specific that you want Orendain, not another brand. They start at ambiguous times, but generally around the noon hour. The English speaking tour guide provided a background to the history of the town as we were driven out in their barrel-shaped, fun, coach out to the factory. The Orendain tour demonstrated how agave cores are pressure-steamed, crushed, fermented and distilled. The tour was quite well explained and I felt quite enlightened. However, I recommend you do some reading about the history of the settlement of the town because it adds to the whole experience (it starts in the 1500's with bloody battles between the Spanish army and the indigenous led by a priest, and continues to the 20th century industrialization). The tequila tour ends at their store, where you get really good prices on the amazing bottles of tequila and liqueurs (tequila suffused with coffee, almonds, and apricots).
