This is a great place to enjoy a sunny afternoon. This is where the river Trent meets with the Erewash canal and also the river Soar. There is a golf club on site which offers great dining. Not tried the golf course but told it is good by those that enjoy the sport! Actually on the river bank there are two pubs. The navigation is the best serving good reasonably priced food 7 days a week. There is a dining area inside the pub and they also offer a bar menu for those who want to sit outside and do it casual. During the summer months you will see barges cruising past. The local swans are partial to a good feed of bread! Child friendly and there is a park on site for them to amuse themselves.
