Overall the stall has large selection of stock including cages, toys, treats, food and of course animals. I had visited once before and if memory serves they had kittens for sale but sadly they weren't there this time. There was however an array of birds which were sat about chirping and my friend was able to get some nutty seedy type things for the Hamster which weren't that bad for value. This shop can be easily located on the balcony in the market so there should be no problem in finding it if you find yourself in need of straw and sawdust.

They sell Burns dog food, too, which isn't always easy to come by. Check the opening hours before you make a special trip here, because they're closed all day Sunday and Monday, and Wednesday afternoons - and then on the other weekdays when they're open, they close for an hour at lunchtime! They have a lot of stuff you would expect such as leads, bowls, cages and feeders. It is a pet paradise. If you need supplies for your pet then this should be your first place to come.

Once we had chosen the hamster they got him out the cage. They then explained to us how to look after him and showed us what food he needed etc.They then gave us a little box and a bit of bedding to take him him home in. If you're into statistics - '10.5' x 10.5' x 3' (3.8 x 3.8 x 0.9m) and holds in excess of 2000 gallons/9500 litres' - apparently the biggest tank in any UK retail outlet! And lots and lots of little tanks too. Small boys and girls totally love this place. Adults are pretty keen too. Crying babies are soothed by the dark ambient lighting and the gentle waft and waggle of the passing fishies. There are some pretty gross things too, sort of wobbly intestinal sea-creatures. And some cuties like star fish and sea horses. It looks like a pretty innocuous warehouse from the outside, but even if you actually meant to go next door to buy daffodils you really have to see this. It's the biggest fishy thing going on in Wales with more fish than you could cast your net at.

No, I wasn't treated to a bag of hay or a chew toy, my present was the furry kind, a hamster to be precise. I was really nervous (the last hamster incident I was involved in ended in blood and being mentally scarred for life) but the owner was absolutely lovely. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, giving us a full history of his current stock of hamsters and stressing that he only uses particular breeders. As this goes for all the small animals he sells, this means that customers can rely on healthy, happy and docile animals. As well as the hamster in question, we also bought all the necessary paraphernalia that one needs to take care of it. Once again the owner gave us expert knowledge on what kind of cage we needed and once we got the hamster home I rang this shop up practically every other day for advice and he was nothing but patient. Definitely recommend this place for all your pet needs, particularly if you are looking to buy a healthy, friendly pet.

Quite a small shop, and a bit out of the way. But well…read moreworth searching out, the people who own and work there really care about what they do. Personal service and good advice, plus they really do care about the Birds and small furrys they have for sale. The prices here are often cheaper than some of the bigger shops, they sell most things and what they haven't got they can soon order it for you. Well worth a visit.
