My son loved going here after school care. They pick your child up after school. My guy always had so much fun there and made a lot of friends there. One of them is still his best friend today. The people who ran the school were just the most kind and caring people, and I believe a few of them are still there today. They provided a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for my son after school while dad and I were still at work. We never had to worry about him when he was there, and that's just priceless. I am very thankful to Redwood country day school.

I have never had an issue with any teacher here and my kids have always came home with an exciting story to tell about how their day went at daycare. We have used Redwood for before and after school care with school drop off and pick up, spring break and summer break program! In the summer the kids are always going on fun field trips! My kids have made so many friends here and Nancy and Jacqueline are the best!! They treat us like we're family! They are always so caring, nice, and loving to the children. Even the young student teachers are great with the kids and help with their homework after school! As soon as you walk through their doors you feel at home. I have never questioned my kids safety at this child care, it is very clean and well organized with different age groups and fun activities to do! Starting my kids at Learning to Learn next door at the age of 2 and then started Redwood Country Kids Club at age 5 to now almost 11 and 12 is the best decision I have ever made with my kids care. I will truly be so sad when my kids finally age out. Thank you to Nancy and Jacqueline for all that you do! We love you!! Redwood is the best!!!

First...the staff. We have seen multiple teachers come through since our son attended Mt. Taylor in…read moreRohnert Park. They've all been amazing and our son loved all of them. (They didn't get to retain all the staff, mostly due to the free TK as many preschools and daycares likely felt the hit.) But let me tell you about Martha (the director) and Maria, one of the teachers. They are both absolutely fantastic. My son adores them both. When he started there at a little over 2 years old, he was still in diapers and had a speech delay. They allowed his speech therapist to come in and see him once a week and even helped them find a less distracting location when my son wasn't focusing as well. Once we started potty training, his teacher, Maria, stepped up and not only helped train him at school, but helped train us parents, too! Her advice during that time (my guy was a stubborn one) was incredibly helpful and welcome. We are leaving so that our guy can attend a preschool down the street from our house and that is open during winter break as it was very hard last year, financially, when I couldn't find a place to take him while they were closed due to his severe food allergies. Which reminds me, they handled that amazingly! They made sure he didn't eat others' food and if they were going to give a treat to all the kids, they either provided our son his approved treat we left at the school or sent us a photo of the ingredients to be sure he could have it. Highly recommend this school and I'm so sad to leave. The monthly rate was excellent and competitive and they left huge impressions on our son (and on us) in such a good way. His speech, potty training, counting, letters, etc. all improved dramatically here. More people need to hear about them. They're fantastic! And they're so easy to talk to! Highly recommend. We'll miss you guys!

Because she has Down Syndrome, Sofia receives daily therapies that Mt Taylor was gracious enough to host at their school, making it possible and easier for us to ensure her success. I love how easy the staff is to talk to and how comfortable they make the parents feel with everything; I never feel stressed and am greeted like a friend every time I pick Sofia up or drop her off (especially when I pick her up lol). Sofia thrives at Mt Taylor and I have been so proud of her maturity and growth while under their expert and compassionate care. Not only that, but they charge an incredibly reasonable monthly rate with flexible pickup and drop off times to accommodate any schedule without requiring a complicated fee schedule or extra work for the parent. Thank you thank you again Martha, Maria and Natalee for your kindness!!

Miss Megan has been a pillar in the community for over 20 years and I have to add has left an everlasting impression on all the little people she encounters. A gem of a preschool.

The play yard is amazing and the children have a lot of room to explore. The teachers are patient, warm, and obviously rooting for each child as an individual. Our family absolutely loves this pre school and you can't put a price on being worry free with our little ones. If I could rate it higher I definitely would.

While it's difficult to rate a preschool when it's the only one my daughter has attended, I have…read morebeen quite pleased with Building Blocks. The staff is friendly, professional and I get a sense that they are all quite personally invested in what they do. Our daughter was previously attending a small family daycare with 5-6 other children, most of which were younger than her. We've been extremely pleased with her progress since she started coming to Building Blocks and interacting with both a larger peer group as well as older kids, from whom she's learning more advanced behavior. A major factor in choosing this preschool vs. others was our schedule. It was shocking to me how may preschool's charged what were (in my opinion) excessive rates for afternoon care. Though we sometimes feel like a minority in Sonoma County, my partner and I both work full time, so 5:30 is the earliest possible pickup time. Cost wasn't the primary factor for us in choosing Building Blocks, but saving several hundred dollars a month and feeling like our needs were understood was definitely a plus.

I felt the need to defend Building Blocks Preschool, after reading a review that just popped up…read moreagain this morning from three years ago. Just to be clear, Building Blocks is a PRIVATE Preschool/Pre-K. In a private school setting, monthly tuition is never prorated over breaks such as the typical 2 week winter break. Fortunately, Building Blocks only closes the campus for winter break and a handful of major holidays. They do not take any time for Spring Break, Ski Week or "Teacher in Service" days. So, no, I do not feel taken advantage of. The tuition is reasonable. I currently have two children attending Building Blocks and it's worth every penny of my hard earned money. The kids are never left unattended and are very happy there. It's unbelievable to me, the education and experiences that Building Blocks offers. PS- MaryJo has a lot of responsibility as director of a three level preschool. It's not that you're old news after the "honeymoon period" as previously stated by another reviewer. She's busy!

The staff was supportive through the years when my son was behind in reading. Because of their help he is now up to grade level and excels in math. My daughter is also excelling. Those formative years at Dunham have really created a love of learning in our kids. The teachers, administration, and parents collaborate effectively to run the school in such a way that funds are well allocated to additional curriculum that are fun and educational for the kids. The garden is by far a wonderful addition to the school and really created a community connection between the families and the local agriculture of Sonoma County. Things like apple pressing, seasonal "plant start" sales, and the pumpkin patch where each child gets a pumpkin...these are things that kids remember for the rest of their lives. The end of year carnival is always a blast! It's a close knit community. As a small school, be prepared to face the challenges of kids getting sick of one another. There is only one class per grade so kids stay together. That results in bickering and splitting off eventually with their people. They are like siblings by the time they leave the school. Some kids get along better than others. But the variation of personality types and the inclusion of all demographics really gives these kids a sense of how to treat many types of people in and out of school. in my opinion, this small country school is one of the best in Sonoma County. It's a secret gem.
