Michelle is the best caregiver any parent could hope for. Our son has been with Michelle for almost…read moretwo years now, and we couldn't be happier with her. - Michelle genuinely loves and cares for the kids. - Her program is fantastic! Our son brings home projects every day. They explore and learn through music, dancing, art, books, walks, and so much more. They even raise real butterflies and release them outside. My 2-year-old knows more about metamorphosis and chrysalises than I ever did. - Michelle is licensed for more children but chooses to care for only three at a time. This allows each child to receive exceptional attention and care. Smaller group also means significantly fewer sicknesses for kids. We have friends in bigger daycares and their kids seem to be constantly sick. Michelle is very diligent with cleaning and health issues and our son has been sick only a handful of times in 2 years. - Michelle has also been an amazing partner for us as parents. She helped us navigate so many milestones. Potty training was incredibly easy because of her! We trained at home for one weekend, and then she took over at daycare - and our son was potty trained. Our family feels incredibly fortunate to be part of Michelle's program. We truly cannot recommend her highly enough.

She has created an amazing environment for babies and toddlers to learn, grow, and play. We knew our daughter was always safe and well cared for when she was with Michelle, and even more - it was evident that Michelle cares very deeply for all the children she watches. Our daughter learned so much while with Michelle and she helped guide us through so many pivotal developmental milestones. It was important to me that we felt like she was getting individualized care and that was very much the case with Michelle. She is licensed to care for more children but only takes three at a time meaning each child gets so much love and attention. We are so appreciative and thankful for the time we had with her!

It's nearly impossible to put into words how much we love and are thankful for Plum Oaks!…read morePlum Oaks was the most loving, nurturing, supportive environment and the best educational opportunity we could have ever given our children. We sent both of our boys to Plum Oaks at the age of 2, and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. Both Jody and Gail cultivate a nurturing, explorative, and positive environment you cannot find anywhere else. Nestled in the countryside between Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, Plum Oaks is the perfect setting for your kids to learn and explore their surroundings. Preschool age educational activities, gardening, feeding animals, and outdoor play are just a few of the things your child will experience at Plum Oaks. Both Gail and Jody are "toddler whispers" and know how to positively communicate with your child for their age level. My husband and I have learned a lot from both of them. Now that our boys entered elementary school, we feel that Plum Oaks helped prepare them for the transition. We miss the entire Plum Oaks family and couldn't recommend their childcare highly enough. Thank you, Gail and Jody, for all you have done for our family.

They are so in-tune and attentive and so patient! I have learned so much from both of them and have received so much encouragement with my parenting style. My son excelled at Plum Oaks and we are so grateful for our time there.

    Apple A Daycare

WOW!!!!!! My fiance and I never thought we would be able to find a worry free home child care place…read moreanywhere! But then one day we found Apple A Daycare. Awhile back we were going through a lot with questionable things other home day cares would be doing with our son. Nothing too bad, but as new parents we were definitely concerned and uncomfortable. My fiance and I had been going to A LOT of different home day cares trying to find the right one that we both felt extremely comfortable with. It seemed like every daycare we visited was the same story. "My husband works so I started a day care for extra money so I can stay at home with my kids." Which is fine as long as the daycare is operated like a business and the family's kids aren't the only ones getting attention. It's not fair to my baby if he's plopped in a walker all day while other kids shuffle him around like a toy for the older kids. We had day cares who would drive our son around to pick up their kids. One woman's car broke down on the freeway WITH OUR SON and another infant and didn't even call us! Who knows how long they were on that shoulder. She simply sent her husband home to meet my fiance when it was time to pick our son up and she had to follow him to the side of the freeway and pick him up. Another no-no was seeing one of the providers older sons walking around the home with a gun because he was going hunting. WOW. IT JUST NEVER SEEMED TO WORK ANYWHERE!!!! We were in a huge hurry to find a place because we had found out the lady at the current daycare had a seizure disorder and didn't let us know...yes this was the same lady who was driving OUR son around breaking down on the sides of highways. Nothing against people with medical problems, but if it is in any way a danger to the children, we certainly need to be notified BEFORE we opt into the daycare. So we began searching for a new provider. We found Victoria's ad and decided to call her. It was the call that would change our day care nightmares forever. Victoria was very prompt and quick calling back and giving us as much info as we wanted. Another thing I like personally is she is 100% OK with texting which is great because it's a quick way of communicating small things. She also had a great website with her family bio and lots of info on her business. So we set up an appointment to check out her day care. The moment we walked up to her front door we loved what we saw. She had a little sandbox and play structure set up on her front porch with plenty of toys. Also, inside her home we saw something that we had never seen at the other daycares.....a couple rooms dedicated to the kids! Victoria gave us a tour of her beautiful home and we were amazed. She told us about how the kids days go and projects she puts together. We immediately decided we wanted to use this daycare and told her on the spot it was a deal. Two days later we sent our son for his first day to his new daycare. Within a few hours of dropping him off Victoria sent us pictures via pic messaging from her iphone. This really was something I loved. She kept us updated on how he was doing through out the day. He came home with little art projects he did as well as a list of all of his activities for the day from eating to napping and everything in between. Victoria truly cares about kids and it shows 100%. She takes them on walks to the park, she takes them to the library for reading and fun time, she does daily art projects and many other things I can go on about for days (as you can tell). I must say one of my favorite things about her are the pictures she sends to our phones a couple times a day. Just looking at her website you can see she goes above and beyond for her kids. If Victoria ever has any openings I would highly recommend her to anyone! We plan on using her and her day care for as long as we possibly can. Thank you Victoria for giving us peace of mind while we are working and have our son in your care.

So, I googled "in home daycare" and one of the first results was Apple a Daycare! I called and talked to Victoria and made an appointment to come by and talk to her. From the moment we walked in the door we knew that this was where we were going to bring our daughter. We have never regretted that decision for a minute. When I would get lonely for my little girl I would text Victoria and she would send me a picture of my daughter and whatever activity she was involved in at the moment. When Brooke would cry in the mornings when I dropped her off, Victoria would send me a text letting me know that Brooke was fine and was playing. Victoria is the kind of person that you know you can trust implicitly to care for you child. It never felt like I was leaving my daughter with a stranger. And my daughter just adored her! Victoria is very creative with the types of crafts she has the kids do and always sends home a finished craft at the end of the day. She also takes the children on walks to a nearby park for playtime and even to the local library! Last summer she enrolled them in a toddler book club at the local library!!! I also liked how she would send home a note outlining what my daughter ate throughout the day, how long she slept at nap time and what activities she did. Sadly, this is all written in the past tense because we recently left the area. That was one of the hardest goodbyes I have had in a long time. I wish there were a way to bring Victoria with us! She had really become a big part of our daily lives and was there for us in ways that I can never truly express my gratitude for. If we ever move back to the area, the first call I am going to make is to Apple a Daycare. Victoria loves what she does and she loves the children she cares for. And they love her!
