Posting this review on behalf of my dad, who recently used Tree Care by Gibson: So glad I did my research when looking for a company to remove several large fruit trees from the backyard of my new home. After reading so many great 5-star reviews, I decided to call Keith--and I'm glad I did. I called on Tuesday, and he was able to schedule the job for Friday. Keith and his longtime crew arrived on time and had everything completed in about five hours. They were professional, reliable, and reasonably priced. I couldn't be happier with the experience. Save yourself the time searching and call Tree Care by Gibson. read more

Our poor jacaranda had an aphid infestation which was wreaking havoc on our front yard and driveway. Keith was responsive and quick to take action. We appreciate that Keith is an arborist, who had a plan, and helped us solve our issue. Highly recommend! read more

I contacted Keith to help with a tree that was growing too close to our home. He responded immediately, quickly diagnosed the issue and made suggestions on how to avoid other tree root issues in the future. He came out the same day to check out the trees, and quickly scheduled the time to come out to take out the trees at issue. He and his team were on time and incredibly respectful. I was very impressed with the care they took with my property and neighbors as well. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Keith! read more

Keith was very knowledgeable about my Elm Tree and came up with options to solve my problems. He cares about trees like I do.

Keith is great! He was busy, but I value his knowledge and care, so I waited until he was available to have him trim my peppermint willow.

Second time I've had Keith out in the last half dozen years. Fair prices, and the same crew years later. Great guy, works safe up in my 60'+ trees. read more

We have now worked with Keith and his team a few times and they are absolutely top notch. Amazing communication and services, and fantastic customer care. I will definitely continue working with Keith on any of our tree care needs. Thanks Keith! read more

Keith and Allen came out to repair an emergency and were finished in record time. Less than an hour and they had it taken down. Amazing work. Will definitely call them again next time disaster strikes. read more

We had Keith and crew out to remove a pepper tree and grind the stump. He was great explaining how he would take out the tree and stump. He and his crew did exactly what he explained he would do and was very attentive to the requests we made of him like not scratching our home's new paint job and not damage our synthetic grass. He went above and beyond to address our requests and even protected our patio sliding glass windows when he ground down our stump. It was so easy to communicate with him. Would definitely use his crew again! read more

Keith is always quick to respond and gets the job done! We have used Tree Care by Gibson twice. The first time was a quick removal of dying Italian Cypress. Keith is an Arborist so I feel more comfortable in his recommendations. Recently, Keith and his crew trimmed our Italian Cypress, Eucalyptus, Pink Melaluca, and Queen Palm trees. They did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. I was thoroughly impressed at the palm seed clean up. Keith walked through the job with me and is always willing to discuss and work with me regarding our trees and the options. He cares about trees. To create future privacy in place of the removed Italian Cypress, he recommended and planted a few Tacoma Yellow Bells along our wall. We look forward to watching them grow. They will attract butterflies and humming birds. Plus, they are beautiful! We highly recommend Keith!! We will use him again, especially when I need a tree specialist. He gives that extra layer of comfort knowing he is an arborist. read more

I needed to trim branches hanging over my roof in order to get my insurance renewed. Since it would involve significant trimming, I was fortunate to have been able to contact Keith for his expertise as you want an expert arborist for this type of work in order to ensure the health of the tree. Not only is Keith's knowledge extensive, he is also true professional and will do the the work the right way to prioritize the health of the tree and safety of others. read more

First off, I ALWAYS get multiple estimates, especially for a big job like taking down two large trees in our front yard and trimming/removing other overgrown trees in our backyard. But Keith Gibson just inspires confidence -- from the initial quick response (he called me back within 5 minutes of me leaving a message), then looking at pictures I sent him then showing up in person later that same day to take a look in person and give me a quote after walking the site. We had some previous tree service work years ago (by someone inexpensive but not very good) so I had a rough idea of cost but Keith's quote was so fair and the way he talked about the trees / species / health (how many tree service guys talk about genus and vascularity?!), I hired him on the spot without soliciting another estimate. Fast forward a few days later to when he arranged to come out, Keith and his crew of two other guys finished a job that I thought would take 2-3 days in one day! There is a story I am going to paraphrase about someone who hires 3-4 young guys to fix something; they show up and work on it all day and charge $$$ but it still doesn't quite work right. The owner finds another much older, experienced technician and he comes and spends 5 minutes looking at the problem, fiddles with it for 5 minutes and gets it working perfectly. He asks to be paid $$$ but owner balks, saying that only took you 10 minutes to fix! The old technician replies, "it took me 10 minutes to fix but you are paying for 40 years of experience that showed me how to fix it properly!" That is Keith! Except he doesn't charge $$$. He does all of actual tree cutting and trimming himself and his vast experience and knowledge shine through. Hire him-- you won't regret it. read more

Tree Care By Gibson - Keith at work on taking a star pine down. - Tree Services Near Me

Couldn't ask for quicker response time, better explanation of action needed and helpful recommendations for preventive maintenance that didn't occur to me. Keith knows trees and took down a tree that could have broken up a retaining wall, cheerfully, quickly, professionally and reasonably price wise, 5 Stars. read more

I have been using Keith Gibson to trim my trees for almost 10 years. The thing that impresses me the most about Keith is his arborist knowledge on how to maintain the health of my 10 trees. When Keith first started with me, the trees were chopped and lopped to the point of creating rot and decay. Keith cut out the rotten parts, reshaped them and brought them back to "being trees" over a five-year term. Today, he trims them to create a nice, shady environment during the warm summers. I highly recommend Keith to anyone looking for a professional who "knows" how to take care of trees. Keith may not be the most economical tree trimmer, but his knowledge and expertise provides "getting what you pay for." read more

I rarely write reviews, but Tree Care by Gibson did an exceptional job. Keith and his crew did an excellent job on cutting down multiple trees - especially large 60 yr old pine trees. Keith is extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable to do the job right the first time. They had to move some large rocks and encountered some wire in the trees which made the job a bit tougher, yet they persevered to complete the job well. Keith was helpful and offered suggestions on how to best cut and trim our trees. His team did a great job cleaning up after as well. Overall excellent work. I highly recommend and would hire them again! read more

We just bought a house that needs some major repairs but before we could start we had 5 large trees that had to be removed and a couple others trimmed away from the roof. Keith got back to me right away and was onsite a day or two later with an estimate. The crew was fantastic. They were professional, cleaned up everything, cut the trees down as low as they could possibly go and we couldn't be happier with the results. We also got some great advice about which trees would be optimal for our yard and which ones to watch out for. I'll be calling Keith again in the future when we are ready to tackle the backyard. read more

We always use Gibson when we trim our trees. We have 2 mature Crape Myrtles in our backyard and they always do an excellent job. I was just looking out the window and it's been a few months since he trimmed our trees, they are flourishing and look beautiful. I always appreciate that Keith is vey responsive and will set an appointment with us right away if his schedule allows. They wear the appropriate safety gear and haul everything away. Keith is always in a good mood and has a smile on his face, I highly recommend his work! read more

We've used this company to trim our trees for the last few years as well as take out a couple trees. Keith is great. He's very knowledgeable and reliable. He'll get your job done for a good price. Highly recommend! read more

I had been procrastinating on dealing with our huge, infested schefflera trees in our tiny walk-street courtyard. We considered asking our gardener to trim them but didn't think he had the expertise. Finally, based on yelp reviews, I called Keith. I texted photos and he came out that afternoon. We discussed options and I also asked for some assistance with our overgrown bamboo. We were able to schedule that week. The trees were in very close proximity to our house as well as both of our neighbors. Keith and his crew were extremely careful around the houses and our wood deck. He also helped out with the insect infestation and the sooty mold that was covering some of the leaves. Our yard looks great and I wish I had called sooner! read more

Keith and his crew pulled 6 trees out and replaced them with new trees. Keith is a wealth of knowledge - he knew what kind of trees would fit in, what kind of pesticide to use, what kind of watering system to use, etc. He made me feel like he knew what he was talking about. He provided an estimate and the invoice was exactly what he estimated. I will reach out to Keith again when I need any kind of tree expertise. read more

On 4/17/2020 I called "Tree Service by Gibson" and spoke to Keith to get an estimate to remove a liquid amber tree and stump. The tree had several near surface roots that were getting into my sewer line and were close to my foundation. Keith came by within 2-hrs and gave me a very reasonable estimate to remove the tree, stump, roots, and a small liquid amber tree that had sprouted from one of the roots. My answer to his estimate was, "how soon can you start" His estimate was so reasonable that I did not bother to get any competitive bids. Keith and his worker showed up about 2-hr later with his tree/stump removal equipment and got to work. Keith and his worker did a great job with the tree service and clean up. Keith is an arborist with a lot of experience. He is also easy to talk with. Thanks Keith for your service. I am giving you a well deserved 5* plus a tip $. read more

With 37 years of tree climbing experience, and an equivalent number of years understanding tree care, Keith Gibson, certified arborist, is the man you want for your tree care. My son and family have a Norfolk Star Pine in the front yard, and she is a tall, stately beauty. I had 3 companies estimate the job. Keith Gibson was clearly the most knowledgeable, actually knew the type of tree, and had worked on a Norfolk Star Pine previously. His estimate fell between the other two. The work was done thoroughly and the clean-up was great. He showed up on time and communicated well with me via text messaging. I have included a couple of photos of before and after. This was an entirely positive experience. read more

Tree Care by Gibson was professional, and they did all the work agreed upon very diligently and in less time than anticipated. Our neighbor got his tree removed by this company. In doing so, they broke our string lights cord, shattered 2 light bulbs, and broke a ceramic pot. I called Keith shortly after finding this destruction of property. He was extremely rude on the phone but did come to see the damage. I did not find him to be apologetic or care. I like to support businesses who are kind. He was not kind. I can not speak to the work that he did, but I can speak to his character. With so many tree trimming businesses out there, I suggest you find another company. It should be noted, he did replace the bulbs, did not string back the lights, and replaced the pot with a chipped pot covered in dirt that looked liked it was found in the trash. read more

Keith, the owner, was quick to respond to my initial request for a quote and then rushed over that evening after another job to give us a comprehensive estimate to cut back and trim our Yucca trees. Keith was professional, courteous, and articulate. My husband and I really felt like he was listening to us to get a good grasp on exactly what we wanted (no easy task because even we weren't sure what we wanted!). He even took the time to introduce himself and chat a bit with our neighbors about the prospect of trimming back some branches that hang over onto their properties. When we're ready to pull the trigger on this big job, we'll be calling Tree Care by Gibson. read more

These guys are the real deal. Keith's friendly and knows his stuff. I was shopping around for a tree removal co. on a Saturday and he was 1st to respond and came out for a consultation the next day, on a Sunday. I highly recommend Keith and his team, not only did they come out immediately to take a look and get us a quote but the turn around time of removing the tree was stellar. We asked keith when we could get started and unlike other tree care professionals who quoted me two weeks out, Keith said "we'll make it happen!" I cannot express how much that in itself meant to me and my husband considering a tree had just fallen into his parents house after the Santa Ana winds hits, so needless to say we were eager to get started. Keith and his team were eager, friendly and professional during the entire process and let me pick and chose every log I wanted to keep (The DIY ideas are endless when you have a giant tree in your backyard). You can tell Keith has been in this business for quite a while. Please join me in support local business' like his! Yet again... highly recommend for all your tree needs. FYI... We had a 50+ year old stone pine tree in the back that was ruining our backyard, fence, etc. and Keith and his team took their time removing it as to not disrupt anything else in the backyard. read more

After having used a larger, well known local tree trimming company for multiple years, I decided to reach out to Keith for a quote to trim some trees after seeing his great reviews on Yelp. Keith was very nice when I spoke with him and seemed to be responsive, but then did not show up to check out our trees and provide me with a quote. I followed up to see if he was planning to come by and was told he would come by the following week, but he still never showed up or followed up with me. It's possible Keith and his team do great work, but very disappointed in his follow through. Perhaps he is too busy; in which it would be better to advise he doesn't have time (or at least follow up and reschedule or cancel). I've gone ahead and am having our original tree trimming company come out to do the work (approx. $600 job). **Update 1/7/17 - After seeing Keith's comment below, I would like to clarify this review was not intended for malicious purposes, but meant to express my experience as a homeowner and consumer with no ulterior motives. I spoke with Keith several times on the phone and texted pictures of several trees I wanted trimmed, along with my home address. I followed up when he never showed up the first time as he mentioned he would. He kindly told me he would be by the next week, and never showed up again. I have moved on and re-hired our original tree trimming company for the job. Wish Keith no harm; this was just my experience with his company.** read more

I have used Keith 3 times. Best results and very affordable and professional. They know their business.

Had to remove an enormous ficus tree in our back patio. Got a few quotes and Keith's was the most reasonable. He and his crew removed the tree - and left the patio looking cleaner than when they arrived. Couldn't work with a more personable, easy going, and hard working guy. Had Keith and his guys work on my olive tree this morning. They did an excellent job. I'm 100% completely satisfied. Keith was the most responsive when i was looking for a quote. He came right by the house and gave me a free consultation. He then provided me with a fair quote. Today him and his team came on time and did a perfect job. They cleaned up great and even saved the olive tree wood to be re-purposed as firewood. I called 4-5 different tree cutting services and Gibson was by far the best to work with and the best price.
