Treaty City Brewing Co is situated on one of Limericks oldest streets in the Medieval Quarter of the city, and is a fun combination of brewery, bar and coffee house.
We popped in as we wandered around Limerick, grabbed a pint, a cocktail and a scone. We hung out upstairs, which is a couple of rooms filled with a hodgepodge of seating, cabinets, artwork and tables. It definitely gives off "old coffee house" vibes up top, but then down below gives off clear bar and brewery vibes.
They have a few home brews and standard beers on tap, then offer a wide variety of cocktails and an open bar if that's what you after. In addition to the booze, they have a standard menu of coffee items and then a small selection of toasties.
The building is old, and shows it inside and out. It's worn, but full of character, so it makes sense. The are very dog friendly, even having a dog photo wall!
Service was okay. Not a lot of energy from the staff. It wasn't rude or bad service, just okay.
Overall, cool spot to swing by for a pint, coffee or toastie while in Limerick! read more
