We saw customers enter as we browsed outside. After belatedly being informed by an outdoor staff member that they were closing in a few minutes, we approached the front door promising we would be quick. An unkind staff member, not dissimilar to the gate keeper of Oz, peaked out of the closed door and basically told us to go away. She went on to complain that it was "people like you" who don't understand they have places to be. I am not sure if this was a swipe at out-of-towners (I am not) but either way, while the concept of Turned Antiques is nice, it is not unique, and the potential unpleasant reception not worth the drive out.

There are some antiques as soon as you enter, but the main attraction for us was on the right. The two young ladies who staffed the counter area were friendly and quite helpful. We got a couple of single ice creams for the dogs and they suggested placing them in cups; perfect! We also got slushies for ourselves; watching the slushy machine at work was mesmerizing. The owners didn't say hello when we walked in - just gave us stares. The only time they stopped playing cards was to come over and tell me to be careful of a mirror on the floor. The store is dusty, mostly bric a brac, coins and junk jewellery. Save your money and time, and visit the stores in Buffalo, they're nicer and have a better selection.
