I booked this room for one and they gave me a large room! One double bed and one single, which is a fab setup for a family or small group of pals to share. My friends and I have used this room setup in the past and it works really well. Front desk very nice and quick to get you booked in. Tea and coffee facilities in your room. With a restaurant open all day and evening. This hotel is well ran and has everything you need! It is my goto airport hotel when required! Note: both my times here, I find the staff in the bar area are absolutely petrified! I had to go up to the bar to order drinks and food, even tho I was told someone would come to the table to take my order. I haven't eaten in the actual restaurant, my understanding is it's open after 6pm and you do need to book a table. I may try it next time I stay.

At both check-in and check-out, staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 3-minute walk to the departure gate at East Midlands Airport -- very handy! Unfortunately, the windows in my room were woefully inadequate for a loud airport hotel. When I walked into the room, it was so noisy I'd assumed the staff had left the windows open to air. Sadly, they were closed! The windows were single-paned old metal windows, rather than noise insulating modern double-glazed windows. The outcome was that even with earplugs in, I had a very poor nights sleep due to the noise of planes and traffic from outside. Very disappointing. The hotel room was good, the staff were great, but given this is an airport hotel, the noise from the airport through the outdated bedroom windows really spoiled what should have been a relaxing stay.

The hotel was booked out with heavy metal fans (including a few families) who all landed back to the hotel covered in mud. The hotel had placed out plastic bags for everyone to put their muddy clothes into. They had signs around the reception, hoping everyone enjoyed themselves, and asking nicely to use the bags. They put on a selection of pizzas and food late in the evening for people coming back from the festival. And above all that, the staff were fantastic. Helpful, cheery, in great humour. Massive thanks to all of the staff for making our muddy stay great.
