Let me start with the most a grievous act. She failed to pay the travel vendor in full and upon our arrival to Egypt from the US on 10/10/23, I had to pay $11,341. When she decided to pick up the phone, she said she did not have the funds to pay the vendor, although we paid her in full for our group of 13. It appears she misappropriated our funds. We were left in a foreign country to figure out what to do next. No telling how things would have turned out if I was not in a position to pay for the group. The sad part is that Across n Abroad Travel Agency LLC / Antoinette Reid assured me that all payment matters had been cleared up before we left. This was a blatant lie. I asked for proof of payment which was not provided. Now I know why she wouldn't provide it, because she didn't pay the vendor. Currently, my calls go unanswered and correspondence is not replied to, so legal action is likely. This trip to Egypt was booked over a year in advance and from the beginning Across n Abroad Travel Agency LLC / Antoinette (Toni) Reid failed to consistently track and document payments, travel dates in correspondence were not listed correctly and had to be verified on several occasions, communication was lacking except when she was working on booking the trip and when she wanted to communicate something, accommodations were changed without notifying us and more. When life got hectic, I had already been reading for years on travel blogs about the perks of having a travel agent, I thought it was time to give it a shot. I put down my backpacker-esque, 'I am not your typical tourist' pride and got in contact with Triple C. Mike came highly recommended from the Chinese community which made me hesitate at first because honestly, my Chinese sucks. I tested the waters by writing him an (English) email requesting an itinerary for an upcoming multi-country trip, detailing my numerous travel preferences in an anal fashion. To my astonishment, it was only minutes before a reply appeared in my inbox. Within the email was a spectacular itinerary to which I love dearly and could not have put together so well myself in such small amount of time. A few minutes later another email followed with a few concerns over how I wanted to fly in to one side of a country and leave from my specified airport that's on the the opposite end of the same said country. (I had plans to take the train across the country but forgot to mention it in my initial email) Fantastic attention to details. A quick check over kayak and a few other sites tell me Mike's prices couldn't be beat and I was sold then and there. When recently I emailed Mike regarding my woes with the difficulty I was having getting a Chinese visa he was quick to offer advice. Mike is always quick to respond to my traveling needs and questions; most of our email conversations can be concluded within minutes. I love that. Straight to the point and super friendly. Oh, my worries regarding the whole Chinese thing? Totally a non-issue. This whole experience makes me wish I had made buddies with a travel agent sooner!

During the Iceland Volcano, when the news said no flight for a month, Mike got us home in a few days!!!!! When the French are on strike, Mike did everything he could to help us and gave us extremely good advice on travel insurance. He responds immediately and gave me the exact information I needed when I was stressing out over the strike. His prices are also extremely reasonable. If i can give Mike 10 stars, I would. Mike, keep doing what you are doing and my your business grow! Thank you so very much for your help over the years!

VERY important anniversary - big plans for a European river cruise led us to decide to seek help from a professional rather than booking it ourselves online. Our consultant gave us some brochures and asked other consultants to lend expertise on the trip we were interested in. We left the appointment with a 72-hour window to complete the reservation AND for the consultant to provide the "how to" move forward. On the third day, I made contact to see how we could move forward before the deadline passed and the reservation would be lost. The consultant, having forgotten about where we were in the story, failed to provide what was needed ---- the reservation was lost. The promise was an attempt at a do-over once 24 more hours had passed. Rather than risk another blown opportunity, I called the vendor myself --- and booked the same dates/cabin/destination as a new reservation. Anniversary saved - go ME. The next day, received an ALL CAPS email from the consultant: "IF YOU DO DEPOSIT TODAY I CAN REBOOK. NEED TO KNOW." Needless to say, I won't be a repeat customer of this business.

Case in point, taking out the air intake duct and forgetting to put it back in. This would cost 200 to replace. I shouldn't pay for their mistake. Now I drive without one. Thanks AAA. But THIS latest visit cast a shadow over everything. I couldn't go over 45 without the car shaking uncontrollably so I brought it in last week and they were able to reproduce it yet unable to find the cause, but they did balance my wheels as a "complimentary" service or so they claimed (you'll understand my skepticism). On Monday I took it to this local auto shop and surprise surprise they found the culprit--a broken and rusted rear brake caliper that AAA had given a green checkmark in their Autoserve report. Either those reports are total bs or someone's not doing their job. Or it's both.
