I had not been at the first appt, so she brought me right up to speed on the status of things. I could tell that my daughter was right at ease and comfortable. We enjoyed a casual banter throughout the visit as she explained things and answered questions, to/for both of us. Best of all, the first assessment and adjustment seemed to have worked very well. As a side note, most offices have worthless drivel magazines laid out as an after thought, but this was only the second office which I can recall which had books laid out, and carefully selected books at that. If you ask my family, they will tell you that I find fault with most businesses that I deal with, but I will certify that this office topped the charts for professionalism, service and true caring.

I have nothing positive to say about the oppressive corporate leadership, and in areas involving my health care, religious freedom, and personal money, I've filed numerous complaints, asking for State-required Grievance Committee procedures, but never receiving any feedback or resolution of problems that didn't need to be covered-up or denied, as was the case. I witnessed the poor care received by other residents and was only reprimanded for voicing by complaints to the staff involved in it. It is sad and unfortunate that Shepherd's ratings have declined over the years, when it is so well funded by well-meaning donors.
