Excellent alternative to Italian food in Italy, if you find yourself wanting to change your Italian…read moreroutine for a day, Redondo Iglesias is your perfect alternative. Has extended variety of food and Serrano hams, including the indescribably DELICIOUS Pata Negra de bellota. Tapas, Spanish wines and beers, even charcuterie from Spain packed sou-vid so you can take some home! It's located off the beaten path across one of the oldest churches in Verona. The service is wonderful, friendly, informative and willing to speak different languages :) One of the most important points for me.... is the ESPRESSO!! This place has the best espresso, not the typical Italian blend with a lot of robusta and highly roasted that makes it bitter. This has the touch of the American continent. So lucky to have wonder around on my usual exploration and once again found a jewel. Some times, no plan is the best plan.

Excellent sandwich shop in the heart of Ferrara. We were a bit dubious as we were the only people…read morehaving lunch but I think we were just lucky! The staff was exceptionally friendly and spoke multiple languages fluently. They gave us a run down of the menu: over a hundred 'small' sandwiches! We ipted for an Italian and a Spanish set of 5 sandwiches each and they were amazing. We also got the fried potatoes which were excellent. Finally we got an order of the calamari and a Caesar salad. The calamari and salad were ok but if you are coming to a sandwich shop you should get their sandwiches! Overall we had a fantastic experience and likely will revisit the shop before we leave Ferrara

Adorable wine shop tucked into a quiet neighborhood just north of the historic center in Vicenza…read more The atmosphere reminded me of an American bottle shop meets a Spanish tapas bar. You can order wine or beer by the glass and they also have a very extensive selection of bottles, too. Their food offerings are all small plates/finger foods/antipasti items. Lovely seating outside and a few tables inside. On our first visit to Vineria Parilon, I had a couple glasses of delicious prosecco (for just €3 per glass!!) and my hubby had a session IPA from Crak, a local brewery near Padova. It's hard to find really great beer in Italy, so this was a happy discovery! We shared a meat and cheese board, which was tasty. Would like to go back for some of their spunciotti. I imagine we'll be back soon and often!

Despite not knowing much English their willingness to accommodate us was impressive. Our waiter took the time to make sure we understood each line item on the menu. We ordered anchovies and the asparagus & egg salad for appetizers, both were okay, Nice light starts to the night. We had the hamburger and Linguine. The hamburger bun was small but the patty itself was of good size and cooked to order. It did not come with a side like it would in America. The linguine was light and the meat was not too heavy or greasy. The prices were very reasonable and the wine list was substantial, we drank three bottles. Dessert was great and very Italian, expect fruit options and of course Tiramisu. We had the mixed berry pie, strawberry cream and pineapple with oranges. All was very good. They are on trip advisor and also have a Facebook, you can find more reviews there.
