I have been a customer for over five years. Over the past 5-6 months, there has been a noticeable decline in service. My trash can is frequently left on the lawn instead of being returned to the driveway where it is collected and on more than one occasion trash was left on the driveway even after an extra pickup was requested and approved. My reason for cancelling was because their price increased, but service decreased. They leave trash in the streets. You can tell when it's their trash pick up day for my sub division, because the streets are filled with litter on that day. TERRIBLE COMPANY! They didn't pick up my trash one Friday so I called to see what happened. (I always put my trash out Thursday night). The lady who answered the phone was very rude. It was about 3pm Friday and she told me that there was nothing she could do until Monday because she had to check the cameras. She also told me that her driver's come at 5am and the driver told her that my trash was NOT out. I told her that wasn't true but still she said nothing she could do until Monday. She told me that they would credit my account for the missed pickup. So, Monday comes and I call them again. The same rude lady reassures me that her driver will pick up my trash if he has time. Her driver never comes! Now it's Friday again and 10am. Now my trash is piled up with 2 weeks of trash. I call them again and inform them that my trash was not picked up again. The same rude lady says she is confused because her driver has not picked up trash in that area yet. Now she tells me that her driver's come at different times and it's not always 5am. I asked her about the credit on my account for last week's missed pickup. She says I won't be getting any credit. I asked her then why was I told I would get a credit on my account for last week then. She puts me on hold and comes back to the phone to tell me I will get a $5 credit. She asked me is there anything else she can help me with, and I said yes have your driver's come on time. She tried to get smart saying the drivers do come on time and will be there today. I told her that I was referring to last week when her driver didn't come at all! I also told her that I pay for the drivers to come weekly thank you. DO NOT USE THIS EXTREMELY RUDE COMPANY! The ladies in the office are the rudest for no reason. I canceled my service via email. They claimed I never confirmed. I wasn't rude because I know mistakes happen, but Angel was immediately rude. I called back to speak to the manager and she was rude. She claimed she would review the phone and apologize if her employee was wrong for saying the things she said. We've had Trash Away for a few years now. Started with them when we wanted to get away from a big company that didn't seem to care about their customers. At first we really like Trash Away and things went on pretty smoothly. Then they began to see a lot of growth and their customer service seems to go down hill from there. When we got the notice at the end of the month that their prices were going up (we have 2 cans) $15, we decided to check around. I didn't pay the new bill and quit putting garbage out to the curb until we hired on with a new company. They did not contact us regarding pickup of their cans, instead showed up here this evening, came up to the house and took their cans. I moved out of my home and paid for an additional can to be picked up. Two weeks later I rode by the home and the can is still their, with waste on the floor. I called and told them I paid for the can to be picked up and was told by the supervisor that the can was not picked up because the workers said it was too heavy! I asked why did I not get a call so I could have transferred the trash to the empty can since I still had the two weeks paid to pick up the trash.. NO RESPONSE. Since there is a thing called auto pay. Well today was trash day and our can was out as it is supposed to be. Trash was not picked up for us. I told her that I just got the bill yesterday and payed it a few minutes ago. She said it was due last month and she tried to call a couple of times, but the phone number was not in service. I had her read the number to me and told her it was incorrect. She said this is what they have in the system, so I told her whomever put it in there did it wrong obviously. I told her if a number is out of service, best business practice would be to email or send a letter to costumers. Apparently, she emailed me a couple of times. Those emails magically did not show up in my email. The last emails I got from them was the bill yesterday and the pickup schedule for the 4th of July. We went back and forth on the email, so I had enough and told her to refund my money, otherwise I will file a dispute with my bank. This lady is rude as hell. She is the reason I switched to GFL. BEWARE!!! All of the negative reviews are correct. They promised me a new can when I signed up. The lady that ALWAYS answer the phone said the owner said he can't waste gas bringing out another can. I explained it was nasty and smelled of stale cigarettes among other gross things. The lady hung up. I went with this company because initially they were cheaper than the others. They have passed my trash on many occasions and I had to wait until the next week- again, I spoke with "the rude lady" who lied and said my trash wasn't out. I started with them in 2017, it's Jan 2019 and i switched on the 14, but they haven't gotten my trash since the 7th. When I called the office she stated that they will pull GPS and never called back. My husband called, young lady was very rude and basically said have my trash can available for pick up on Friday. We have had Trash Away since 2018 and have had no problems at all. Our drivers are always on time and cleans up any garbage spills, and they ensures all garbage is dumped out the garbage can. The office staff is always courteous and friendly. We got on the automatic payment because if you miss a payment they will miss your garbage, but with that being said this is an excellent waste management company. read more

I have had service with this company for about a year, if not longer. I have never had an issue before. Wednesdays are my pick up days. I am current on my bill. In fact, my next bill is not due until April 1. This past Wednesday our bin was on the curb, I left for work about 9 am noticed our can was still full and my 2 neighbors who use them did not. Well I don't know how much trash they really had so I went on to work. I got home about 2 pm. My neighbors had already pulled their cans up to their homes so I called Trash Away, the lady said the driver was still on route and would call me back once she heard something. She left a message to call her back since I missed her call. I called about 4pm. She said the driver stated he did pick up my trash and I should look in my can. I made the call within their 24 hr window of missed pick up policies. I said I don't need to look in the can because the lid is a jarred with bags of trash. So she said she would have to talk to the owner on what to do. I called yesterday when I left for school about 9 am and she said she spoke to the owner but was waiting to hear back on what to do, but she would call back once she heard. She never called back and it was after hours when I got home. I got home and the trash was still on the curb. I called this morning on my way to work she said the owner knows about the situation but she still doesn't have an answer, but she would call back once she did. I told her well now my trash bin is overflowing. I don't get it how complicated is it to send the driver back over to do his job and pick up my trash. Funny how I see the reviews and experience the exact same thing as Everyone else. Spoke with Stephanie this morning because my trash was not picked up yesterday. Extremely rude all I asked this person was do they not send out reminders to customers that a bill is past due, they do not. I have no problem paying and have paid them faithfully over the years, would have appreciated customer service to send a friendly reminder. All the sudden my bill skyrockets $30 more a quarter without any notice. I had to call to find out when they refused to pick up my trash. I have had this service for over 3 years and just recently had a problem with a bill and a credit I was told twice would be given to my account. The credit was not issued and they interrupted my service. The first girl I spoke to was very rude and hung up on me. Then I spoke to the manager who assured me they had issued the credit and would have either the truck come back out or someone come and pick up my garbage by the next day.
