Have a couple of hours to kill waiting for my train and would just as soon do it here as anywhere else in town. Ample places to get a tea, espresso or fine ale if you wish and several modest food options. If none of this suits you City Centre is but 100 feet away.

The small touches were lovely e.g. slippers and dressing gown. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Staff were so helpful and attentive. I'm looking forward to the next stay.

I stayed at this B&B for 4 nights, using it as a base to complete the Hadrian's Wall Path (only…read moreabout 1/4 mile from the trail) and also tour Carlisle and the area. This was one of the most delightful accommodation I had for my entire trip. Yvette and Norman were very welcoming. I was practically made to feel not like a paying guest, but rather as part of their family. Rooms are very reasonably priced, very clean and tidy. Breakfast is included, and includes an assortment of cereal, various fruit, juice, a full English breakfast, with eggs done any way you prefer. Yvette is a chef by training, and this shows with the quality of the cooked food. They have 2 adorable cocker spaniels. When first entering, they will bark. But once you're in, they're the most gentle, loving dogs one can imagine. Their favorite pastime appears to be having a had placed on them for petting. The location of the B&B is perfect. Only a few blocks away from the center of town and the train station, it is located on a quiet side street. There is actually a fair amount to do in Carlisle, most notably the Cathedral, Castle, and the Tullie House Museum, all located within a short walk of Langleigh House. Carlisle also has a nice assortment of good restaurants. I am looking forward to my next visit here.

This was the 3rd Ibis and final hotel that was booked for my Contiki tour. The Ibis rooms are…read moreidentical so I won't go into that. This one also had the exact same layout as the other two. Same large soap bottle that is used as shampoo, body wash, and hand soap. There were also 2 large bath towels, no smaller hand or face towels provided. There is a hair dryer provided in each room as well as a pants press. A pants press is a giant board used to press pants. It'd be easier to provide an iron folks. Really. The elevator had this really cool looking touch pad which was different from what we were used to. It also was a bit dodgy when it came to punching in a floor number. The breakfast was standard English breakfast with additional yogurt, fruit, and granola snacks. For a decent night's stay, you really can't go wrong with an Ibis. It's not luxurious by any means but the beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and is centrally located to most of the sights and restaurants. Most importantly, free WiFi.

Stayed here over a Bank Holiday weekend (Sun & Mon) and there was a huge difference between the two…read morenights. The hotel is on a very busy road with lots of pubs and Sunday night was horrendously busy with bank Holiday revellers. Not a major problem but the hotel was quite noisy, double glazing cuts down on the street noise but doesn't eliminate it. Monday night was lovely and quiet by contrast. Overall the staff were very friendly and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the shops, castle etc. Good value for money - but watch out on weekends if you're not partying!

The staff are very pleasant and this hotel is convenient for the railway station…read more This hotel really requires some significant investment, the rooms are ok, but the bathrooms are not in adequate repair for a hotel which is part of a chain. Mildew in the shower, chipped bath, broken sink and filthy curtains. The external repair to the windows is woeful. Such a shame, but I suspect this hotel group may have other priorities. I'd suggest viewing the room before you check-in. It's certainly not worth the room rate for the standard of repair. Avoid the first floor at all costs,
