It was a pretty day for service. We went to evening mass Saturday which started at 5pm. Father Michael spoke to us on Pentecost regarding the the Holy Spirit. This church has nice stained glass, wooden carvings of the 10 stations mounted on the columns inside. The nation of India was heavy on our minds during mass intentions, which is where Father Michael is from. We heard that an entire nunnery was wiped out by Covid. All 14 sisters perished. The country doesn't have the ability to report numbers accurately, and the cases of the dead are probably much higher than reported. What a wonderful parish community and special building with lots of light. This church is home to several special people with a lot of love to give. Father Eric is a very kind and well spoken priest. He gives excellent direction and a well practiced homily. Today was the first funeral mass held in person after the restrictions were lifted. Father gave a wonderful speech and celebrated my grandfather so well. Each pew is separated and there are specific instructions for communion and exiting. Extra hand sanitizer at the entrance/exit. While it's a challenge during this time, this church and parish keeps the faith and reminds us there is something more. Recommend stopping by for a quick mass and loving parish. read more
