The members are just as kind as the staff, as a stranger to the studio I was welcomed and didn't feel left out. Thank you for a great workouts! It was pretty amazing seeing all the hot air balloons, and the sky when I drove to the studio in the am, not something I see at home in California.

While this is not a review of this particular location (it wouldn't be recent, the place is still…read moreclosed), it is a review of the company as a whole, which has clearly pivoted, innovated and made me a huge fan of their efforts during the pandemic. A few weeks ago we started doing the virtual, free home workouts from this company, and of the many, many programs we've checked out over the last three plus months sheltering, the Orangetheory classes win in spades. The main reason: diversity. Diverse coaches, genders, ages, ethnicities -- yesterday's 50-minute workout was taught in Kuwait, by three (assumed) female instructors. Diverse workouts, on any given day covering two or three muscle groups, beginning with very light stretching and gradually intensifying until the bandana on my forehead's completely drenched. That's my literal watermark for a solid workout, when I'm drenched, and these guys get me there. But again, great job innovating, guys, nice work finding ways to keep your instructors employed, your customers moving, and prospective customers down the road -- that's me -- engaged in your brand, during a pandemic, no less.

Thank you so much!…read more We are currently on a road trip and had to get our daily workout, and this "box" was perfect! It was a GREAT drop-in workout with cardio and weights. And our coach (I'm sorry I missed her name but she had the faded rainbow hair with one side cut short) was knowledgeable and attentive, and really encouraged us through the workout! We also brought our two daughters, and when the music got a little explicit, she switched the songs. She didn't have to, as the words were fast enough and our girls were entertained and distracted by the pups sitting off to the side that they didn't notice, but she did and she took the initiative, and I was VERY appreciative. It was one of those little things that went above and beyond and I was grateful. We loved it and will for sure come in again next summer on our 2020 road trip to Missouri! (This year it's Maryland).

I've been a member of Burque's active community for a few years (let's get real- gym rat, exercise junkie, person on the Bosque that says on your left waaay louder than deemed necessary). I started hearing more and more about Crossfit and decided to investigate the legit way- YouTube. I was blown away watching these terrifying feats of strength/endurance and immediately thought not my scene. Saying you can't do something is lame- and certainly not how Mr. Rogers raised me to think. I woke up one morning and decided to take the plunge in the world of badassery (yeah that's a word now) I rolled up to Sandia Crossfit thinking "Will I survive? I'm going to be the only person without knee socks....I cant do a pull up if a kittens life depended on it" One free intro class later I was hooked. (Saturday 11-12 free intro hour) Sandia Crossfit is the only gym I've seen that takes "Anyone can crossfit" to heart. The workouts are tailored to your own capabilities, you will be able to participate no matter your fitness background/limitations. The instructors are knowledgable and genuinely want to help you get the most out of the class- quickly offering adjustments, modifications ( or in my case- pushing me to the level I want to be). Classes are an hour comprising of warmup workout, technique work, and lastly a WOD that will give you that endorphin rush you've been jonesing for. They also offer functional yoga as well as mobility (Mobility is taught by a physical therapist at no extra cost- seriously) Paleo pot lucks, snow shoe outings, swim wods? I can't say enough about my love for this place, the people that run it, or the sport of Crossfit.

A lot of the unhappy reviews are from people who try to take advantage of the kindness of the studio. Please know that no matter your background (age, ethnicity, body size--whatever it may be), the studio is inclusive for everyone. You'll find that with time, you become part of a close-knit "pole family" and can develop confidence, sensuality, sisterhood, and strength with the art of pole at Bombshell Fitness. Whether you're going for pole, Lyra, heels dance classes, or just flexibility, I highly recommend that you give it a try. You might find it as life changing as I did :)

I've gone from not know how to walk to doing things I never would have thought were possible a year ago. The instruction here is top notch. It is always geared towards my level and skills, while still challenging me consistently and helping me grow. Pole is also a very demanding sport - all the teachers make sure that each of the students are adequately warmed up and provide appropriate modifications to avoid injuries. I've taken private sessions from three of the coaches (Lauren, Kendra, Jaymie) - every time Jaymie listened carefully to what skills I wanted to work on in those sessions and went through effort to match me with the right coach. At this point, I think I've taken every class offered at least once and have never had a single bad experience. I brought a friend with me to a class and was thrilled when she became as addicted as I am. Jaymie has created a safe, welcoming, and fun space that I absolutely love. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

There are no strange workout machines that can be GYMtimidating, or people that pass judgement because we are all there to do the same thing, and hit our goals. The workouts are hard, some days harder than others, but so worth it. They are open various hours (starting at 530AM) and they do a lot of promoting to encourage clients to come on in and give them a chance (free 3 day when you sign up online, Groupon discounts, 6 weeks transformation projects, etc...)to show what can be accomplished with the right techniques. Yes, you will most likely lift or push a tire, do burpees, and feel like you're dying a little inside in the process, but I promise you, its worth it. You will feel like the trainers may be your worst enemy, but they care enough to see you succeed.
