I got the pulled pork with Mac n cheese and collard greens....and hey it was good! I really liked the pulled pork, moist and didn't need to be drenched in the BBQ sauce they gave on the side, seemed to be seasoned really good like they put on a rub after they shredded the meat(?) instead of just seasoning the outside. The sides were pretty standard the greens were vinegar goodness and I kept going back for more. This was definitely nothing fancy but it was just good food, I would get the pulled pork again. I tried my friends fish and shrimp and it was also good, nice light batter.

On this trip Larry (the L) recommended the special of the day Shrimp and Fish with mac n cheese and some beans. Well I'll start with the fish. It was cooked just right with a nice soft inside and a good crunch on the outside. The shrimp were perfectly fired all but one. The next to last one didn't pull out of the tail shell like it should. Both the fish and shrimp had a sweet breading with some subtle seasoning. The mac n cheese was just like somebody else's Mom cooked them. Mine couldn't cook so that's why I'm good at it now. Cause if I wanted a good meal I had to cook it. Now for the beans they were beans and nothing really special. Maybe my Mom cooked theses. All in all a good meal at a decent price. Completely backwards but maybe thats why they call themselves back street. I ordered the Memphis pork Sammie and the salsa was good . The pork was cooked well it just lacked the smokey flavor it should have. I also tried the Philly and that was better. Maybe a little closer to their roots. They have a nice truck and it could have potential . They are in the south and need to cook the southern BBQ that we are used to.

One Spark just might be the busiest week of the year and you debut a new truck n crew. he menu was small and plain. 3 Different burgers the pounder, the ground pounder (with bacon) and the spark burger. I chose the Ground Pounder which was a 1/3lb burger with baby spinach, tomato, onions, cheese. The burger was cooked a little on the over side for me. I'm a real mid-rare kind of guy. But, John J public would freak if you handed them a mid-rare burger these days. The burger did come with some yummy fries and I ate a lot of them and I'm not a big fries kind of guy. I was talking to the owners and they have a few things to work out but they are really minor cosmetic things. This is a beautiful truck and is decked out with some very cool surfboards and a paint job from well let's say down under. I will return to this truck and eat again.

Menu was small and simple and prices for burger and fries ranged from $8-$10. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger was pretty average and the fries were normal square cut fries. Overall the meal was okay but nothing special and definitely did not live up to their Up-In Smoke trucks which in my opinion has some of the best BBQ in Jacksonville.

Today they were at Hemming Plaza with another new truck and a couple of older bbq trucks. Today some friends and I gave them a shot. We went for the pulled pork sandwich, brisket plate. and I went for the ribs. Ok the ribs were probably the best of the three. They were the moistest of the 3 plates. They really didn't have much smoke flavor thou. The meat was also a smidgen tough. It wasn't a little pull that I like it was a grab and rip kind of done. The brisket looked good and better then another truck that I went for. It was very dry thou. There was a pretty smoke ring and all but they left the smoky flavor in the pan or somewhere else that's for sure. The pulled pork was also on the dry side. As a bbq'er myself I know that my meat is moist but then I don't have to keep it for 6-8 hours or even a day. There are some ways to re-heat that they don't know. all it takes is a..........

Today I stopped in while they were near me at Hemming Park. I went with their signature sandwich the Philly Cheese Steak. It was on a roll they called something but I forgot it by now. It is good soft with a little toast from the griddle. The steak was good but could have used some more seasonings. Then the onions n peppers were also there but not a lot of flavor. They topped it all with some good ole cheese whiz. The mark of a true Philly cheese steak if you like that side of the street. For thoses of you from rio linda that's the north side of the street at Pat's you get cheese whiz. Period enough said. I actually…read morecame across this truck after picking up some Mexican food and figured I could have the BBQ for dinner since I've come across this truck several times but never had the chance to stop and pick up anything. He was chatting it up with two ladies which he probably knew and when I asked what he had, he said a slab of ribs. I asked if he had anything else and he starting naming off a bunch of stuff but eventually opened the grill and revealed the contents. Told him I would like to do chicken and ribs with potato salad and baked beans (I didn't see the sides). He said am I sure I don't want a slab of ribs and I said yes, positive for the 5th time. Tried striking up a conversation with him and told him I got some Q from the guy washing cars between the IHOP and Mexican restaurant and he said he knew him, his bbq isn't good and said some nasty things. Well, this guy is coming off as a jerk but hopefully his bbq makes up for it. Gave him $14, he gave me a menu and told me to tell others and off I went. When I got home I decided to give each of the stuff a try and lets say it was not worth $14. I can get WAY better BBQ for less. The sides were dry as hell. I ended up trashing it and not having it for lunch the next day.

I actually overlooked this one a few times because it wasn't unique enough for me, that and the fact I had given up burgers. Luckily they had posted online that they accommodate for non-bun eaters so the decision this day was final. So off I went. A coworker wanted the Finish Him wrap with buffalo sauce while I got the Bowser Breakfast burger without the bun. I've never seen the trick up close so I thought it was cool that you can play video games while you waited for your order. I'm no good at Super Mario Bros so I just watch. I got our orders and headed back to the office. My coworker was surprised by the size of her wrap, so much so that she split it with our supervisor and both agreed that it was amazing. My burger was on a bed of arugula with sriracha drizzled on top of the fried egg and the maple syrup underneath. I had to knife and fork it but it was so worth the fancy lunch etiquette. I think I stuck my pinky out while cutting pieces off hahaha. I'll never second guess this truck again.

The pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and sriracha mayo makes for a great trio that complimented this heavenly burger. I would get this over, and over, and over again. Delicious!!! One tip...order this burger with Bacon. Teemo Special (5/5): It's basically a plain cheeseburger. My picky eater son ordered this and all I can say is he cannot stop talking about how delicious his burger was, even to the side of seasoned fries that the burger came with. He was already asking when the truck will stop by again. Enough said. Angry Birds (3/5): Fried Chicken Breast Strips breaded with crushed Cool Ranch Doritos. I wanted to love it and was curious about how it would taste, but all in all, it just didn't do it for me. The strips were on the dry side. It was just Meh. Fire Flower (3/5): Buffalo sauced Fried Cauliflower, drizzled with Ranch. It was just okay to me, I guess it was because the Buffalo sauce overpowered just about every taste and bite.
