Their low rating comes as a result of the next job we were considering them to do. We want to remove the tub/shower units in both our bathrooms, and replace them with walk-in showers. After calling and leaving messages over a two week span (it's the only way to make contact because no one from their company answers the phone), I finally heard back. After explaining the situation, I was told that Jim (the owner) would come out to size up the project and give us an estimate. He did make it out that day and looked at the job, but he said he would get back with us with an estimate. Unfortunately that's where the story ends, so to speak. Jim never got back with us; we called twice and left messages; finally the lady called and assured me that she would contact Jim; and still nothing has happened. Almost two months has elapsed, and no more word from them. You would think they would have the decency to at least call and say they don't want to do the project. So much for customer service!

He can do it all, including working on the roof and structures of my 1870's log built home. If he doesn't know how to do it, he finds out how and has been able to access slate and old logs, as was needed. He is always cheerful and friendly, and will purposely not show up to work before 9:00 and commonly works until 7PM. His work is quality and seems to be a very talented wood worker and craftsman, often building fancy cabinets or designs if asked. And his invoices are very reasonable, almost always less than I was expecting. I feel I can honestly recommend him and you won't be disappointed. Please try him for an estiimate!

He started out great, except for his price. I paid it even though it was about 20 to 25% higher…read morethan most. This was a whole house rewire on a 900 sq ft. The walls were stipped to the studs, and there is a full unfinished basement, so it was easy access. Still, i paid him over $9200.00. He did very good mostly, until I asked him to correct the placement of a dishwasher outlet. For a fee he would. I already paid someone else to move the outlets for the range and the microwave, but thought he should do this one with no added cost. Placement of appliance outlets is something any electrician should know...I looked it up and they are all the same. Also, this guy also asks you to give him a tip a on every invoice. I find this very insulting to low income waiters, hairdressers, and others who are traditionally tipped. I also dad to clean up after him. Now I'm wondering if he did everything else okay or if my house is going to burn down. Just read the response. I paid the tile guy about $8000 for a tub sized shower. There are places where the grout is missing, lots of tiles are NOT flush, a hole was put in the aluminum trim, the front of the shower is about an inch out of square, the light fixture in the shower was not fully installed, and there are some chipped tiles. No..not happy, but I paid him. I belive a customer has the right to expect a good job, and the tile was not. Rhododendren Electric did a good job, but their follow through is bad. And he will do everything possible to avert a negative review, which mine is not...just middle of the road. Just downgraded due to his false and slanderous response. Really, he's an okay electrician, but he seems much more concerned about his yelp review than he does about satisfying his customers. And, his response was reprehensible.

i tried to get an electrician to put in some electric sockets and light switches in my home and was…read moretold by a couple of companies that there was a two week back up before i could be seen. i called brandon from yelp site and "HE THOUGHT THAT WAS HORRIBLE", so i scheduled him for a sunday afternoon. i was delighted. i could be home instead of at work! brandon texted me SUNDAY MORNING and said he had a problem and could not be there and RESCHEDULED for the next thursday. HE CALLED ME THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND TOLD ME THAT HE WAS STUCK AT ANOTHER JOB AND COULD NOT MAKE IT. He RESHCEDULED AGAIN for the next thursday and asked me to call him that morning. So i did. AND HE CANCELLED AGAIN, AND I ASKED HIM WHEN HE WOULC BE COMING OUT, AND HE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO GET ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN. THAT WAS "HORRIBLE", DON'T CALL HIM, he didn't show up for me (unless maybe you have a whole house to wire). i would NEVER do that to a client of mine, would you?
