I've stayed here before many years ago and the hotel went through a recent remodel a few years back. With the remodel, it is very nice looking inside with the bar now at the center of the atrium. The king suite is also very spacious and very comforting. Can't beat the river view as well as overlooking the Tower Bridge and the A's ballpark across the river. Upon check-in, received a complimentary bag with candy bars and a bag of chips. One thing missing in the snack center was ice cream LOL I was looking for some Haagen-Dazs dark chocolate bar haha Other Embassy Suites typically have it either for purchase or complimentary. Overall great experience with friendly and accommodating staff. The staff were also holding a Halloween decor contest. I voted for #2 as there were only 2 entries at the time Lol

We just wanted a quick shower and to get to the party. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready even at 3:30. There were other guests waiting around the lobby area also waiting for rooms to be ready. The person checking us in explained that they were sold out the night before which was the reason rooms weren't ready. I call BS as checkout is 11:00. Rooms should be ready by 3:30 period. Our room didn't end up being ready until 4:15. Besides that ridiculousness we had a great stay. I'm a big fan of The Embassy Suites product overall. Being a family of five it works out great. You can't beat the bigger room, free breakfast, free happy hour, and indoor pool/hot tub. Location is great right by the river. Very convenient to Old Town Sacramento, Downtown Sacramento, and right acroos the bridge from Sutter Health Park. Room was typical Embassy Suites Room with separate living room with pull out couch and bedroom. Room was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Enjoyed a dip in the hot tub as well. It was indoor along with the pool. Due to timing didn't get to take advantage of the free happy hour. Enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning. Many hot and cold items as well as made to ordet omelets which is amazing. I enjoyed my omelet. Will continue to stay at Embassy Suites Properties. They definitely need to make sure rooms are ready in a timely fashion.

The restaurant and bar are great too--I definitely recommend trying them if you get a chance. I especially want to recognize Dwayne at the front desk. He was wonderful at check-in, and I appreciated how discreetly he shared our room information. For safety, I don't like when hotel staff announce room numbers out loud. He simply told us our floor and handed us the key with the room number written on it. That detail matters to me. Later, my feet were hurting so badly from my heels that I was walking without shoes. Dwayne noticed and ran to the front door to bring me slippers. It was such a kind, thoughtful gesture, and I wanted to make sure he got recognition for it. Thank you, Dwayne, for making our stay even better!

Check-in was smooth and quick! I also liked the way you can just text to have your car ready when leave. Our breakfast was included and their restaurant is very nice with a bar and really attentive staff. They have you sign a receipt after the meal and you take it to the front desk so they can take it off your bill. No complaints at all for this vintage hotel with lots of history since 1925 as it was the tallest building at the time.

When we arrived at 3pm, they said the room was clean, but hadn't been inspected and they would text me in 10min when it's done. Fast forward an hour later, and no text came through. We checked in with the front desk and their apology was that they forgot to let us know... The front desk agent didn't go through any of the hotel amenities or benefits as part of the Edit. 2) Room itself is nice and shower is enormous, but no bathtub which seems like a missed opportunity. 3) Social hour (5-6pm) is fun with generous pours of local wines, beer, cocktails and mocktails. Pool is popular and they provide sunscreen, which is a nice touch. No hot tub. Also, they are quite strict that it's only for hotel guests as there is someone guarding the entrance. 4) The only on-site hotel restaurant, Revival, is 21+, which is discouraging for families. You can order takeout to your room though. 5) Fitness center is certainly on the smaller side, but has the necessities. Overall, a solid hotel that misses on a few marks for service.

A long anticipated staycation and it's not a cheap one. When we got here at around 5pm we are rejected at the hotel garage entrance because there is a game going on at 7pm. We are told only golden one court yard people with passes and park in the garage tonight. And then we are told to park at holiday inn two blocks away. We didn't book a stay at holiday inn. Why are we expected to park somewhere far and drag our belongings over? The place is beautiful. But management should be better. Why is hotel guest not reserved parking? Why is hotel guest at Kimpton parking at Holiday inn? They can have parking for courtyard people but maybe thinking of their paying hotel customers first? The hotel is located at a nice spot with beautiful decor. But the service is atrocious. If you want to stay here make sure there are no events or games at the center.

I woke up with 2 very sore fingers on my right hand. I reported to desk (only 1 staff working solo). She did give me an ice pack and a wrap. She did apologize. She asked me what she could do. That's odd to me, I've been in customer service over 45 years, I never asked a customer "what can I do?" for bad service or experience s...just make it better. I told her have someone go remove the nightstand so the next guest doesn't get injured. I went back to room to record how severely unbalanced the table was. A HK Supv (Myneli) was very kind but also unsure came by, I told her take it out PLEASE. It's a handicap room to make it easier for those of us with disabilities, not to make it unsafe or uncomfortable! She removed it as I requested. The front desk agent, said she was going to make an incident report and a manager would contact me, I never heard from anyone. That was 5 days ago. The front desk agent said she would put some points on my honors account, never happened. I also reported that I left my breakfast passes on the same dresser I placed the tip (not 2gether) the tip and passes were gone. The front desk did replace them, thank you. I also chose this location because it had an outside hot tub near the pool but was disappointed to see CAUTION tape like a crime scene. No access. PLEASE update repairs so we have accurate info when booking! I opted for a hot bath (dirty tub, I had to clean. See photos) There was also long hairs on the soap & shampoo bottles. I always travel with clorox wipes BUT why do we have to spend so much money and still have to sanitize a room? I still leave a cash tip daily because im sure they work hard & are most likely low wages. It's the right thing to do. Lastly the decor in the room was off. Only 2 small pictures and no full length mirror nor suitcase stand. I reactivated my Marriot account, I don't know if I will continue on with Hilton.... Update Manager? Luis Robles gave "stock" reply in Trip adviser...wow Hey Luis, you should ACTUALLY READ the reviews, some things require sincere attention not "copy & paste" reply....

We came back to our hotel night, one to a room that had not been cleaned at all and when I called down and asked why the lady asked if we had requested it and I said no we are not from here so we did not know to ask because where we are from it's standard cleaning every night. She said she would put us on the list. The next day housekeeping came, but we were still in the room and I told her about 10 minutes and she said she would come back at lunchtime, we came back eight hours later to again another clean room and only the bathroom had been done. I called down again and asked why and she said well. Did you specify that you wanted a full cleaning... What am I even paying for? So on our very last night, we got the room cleaned. This was not told to us at check-in nor did we see anywhere, but it was posted that you had to call and ask for rooms to be clean. We were a family of five staying in one room and requested an extra blanket, which they did not have any and gave us top of the comforter, which was weird. They also had no towels down at the pool area as well as ran out of bathroom towels. The beds were very uncomfortable, definitely would not book here again

A special shout-out to the gentleman who served our lunch and went the extra mile by asking if we wanted our drinks brought into the conference room. He didn't have to do that, but he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Those thoughtful little details make a lasting impression and speak volumes about the level of service. Lastly, I lost my glasses during our stay, and I'm so grateful to the maintenance lady who found them. It was another example of the care and thoughtfulness we experienced throughout our visit.
