Parking- so parking is per car, and it's six dollars for everyone to get in and also use a very large parking lot there's multiple different places and lots to park, depending on where you start your journey. Shopping: i don't think if you power walked the entire time.If you could honestly get through this place, there is so much to see and so much to do that.You probably need to come back at least once a month. There is true flea market, there is stuff that is being sold at retai, there's all kinds of stuff to purchase and it's not just one thing. One thing I was pleased to see is back in the day things to sell puppies and I think they probably still do, but at least on that trip they were no longer selling a bunch of random dogs. Food so there's a lot of food options here, I would say I didn't find a single thing that I would consider very affordable but everything from sweets to full meals. Things to see/do: so the cool thing about this place is usually in the back.There is some kind of event that's going on this particular time we went the art car event or something was happening. It was really cool it was like we were seeing a museum thing for free. This is a place that I used to come to as a child always so eager to see what I would find. Going as an adult I'm not sure where the magic went cause I had that feeling going in and walked out disappointed. I decided to pick up 3 mangos. Too bad they cost me $15. On top of that my boyfriend stepped on the biggest pile of poop I've ever seen when it clearly states no dogs before you walk in (I saw at least 5). Watch your step if you plan to come here. I'm not sure why there's a brick and mortar Subway (amongst some other restaurants) in the middle of the place either. I could be wrong but isn't this place about small businesses? Another thing I noticed is the amount of drop ship items available ready for purchase at every stand. It's the same labubu dubai chocolate kpop demon hunter hello kitty stuff over and over and over again. I remember as a kid seeing a lot more variety in the shops. It's probably great to bring your kid here because they have rides and toys but overall I do not think I'll return. Special shout out to the game store Hey Bro!! Video Games cause they hooked it up with Mario Party Jamboree at a great price. Another stand (I cannot remember the name) offered the first Mario party to me for $35 but I was specifically looking for the newest version. One more shout out I have is to an incense store that has hand dipped incense 10 for 1$ all different scents. Traders Village in Houston, Texas, is a vast outdoor flea market offering numerous vendors with diverse goods. This particular day I had my friends' kids for the weekend as they were celebrating their wedding anniversary. We went on a Saturday and to my surprise it wasn't extremely busy. We came for the carnival rides and they really enjoyed themselves. We also enjoyed the food choices and the shops as well. We picked up a few items and had a really good time. Came here for the first time with my kids. I don't know about you, but I love flea markets, swap meet, garage sale types of places and this is literally all of that, but times 50 plus a mini carnival, live entertainment, and food court all together. This has to be the largest swap meet/flea market that I've ever been to. They sold weapons, animals, reptiles, food, clothes, toys, etc. I would say there is probably someone here that is selling something that you're looking for. They were selling golden retrievers for $500. Where I come from, they're at least a thousand dollars. You can spend all day here if you're just browsing. There are also vendors in the parking lot that you pull into and get your vehicle tinted and vehicle alarm or lights installed lol. If you're planning on buying a lot of things, I would bring your personally wagon or something. The parking is huge and it costs $5 to enter and park. The staff are friendly although you don't really see anyone else other than the parking attendants. The huge and juicy turkey legs were $10 and they tasted delicious! read more

I truly do not understand how this place has been so highly rated. I visited today with my husband not really knowing what to expect. I figured it would be similar to Trade Days in Canton. I expected there to be a lot of small business owners with various talents and trades selling from their own little shop. Instead, the whole place felt like a dirty garage sale. I saw ONE shop that looked like the owner actually made the items. A majority of the stores were bath & body works or laundry resale. We walked over half of the area before giving up. Not the best place to spend a Saturday. Glad parking is only $5 so that's all we lost. I wish I did, but I just don't understand the hype. read more

Great place to take children as they have some carnival/fair rides and tickets are not to costly. Plus they have a lot of food vendors. Turkey legs, elote and drinks..can't go wrong This time of year they also have crawfish. Didn't find anything today as I was not needing or really looking for anything in particular. This place has everything from clothes, footwear, furniture, home goods and yard equipment and more. Opens at 10, plenty of parking at $5 per car, bring cash for parking. Most vendors take cash and not all can or take credit cards. There is a burger palace and a subway with actual buildings in center area by the rides. Prices I saw were typically cheaper than online shopping. It's basically like a community garage sale. Paying for parking is a bit ridiculous but it's only $5. The one thing of note were the bathrooms were well much better kept than the ones at their other location. The negatives were they cost of food was obscene... the highly redundant-product selection... the number of non-service animals which in one instance attacked our service dog. This is my first time here since I moved to Houston. I love this big outdoor flea market! Originally, I came here for a Native American festival. When I arrived I saw "carnival" rides, tents and sellers. I saw some dances from the Native American culture at the little outdoor stadium. The scorching Texas heat won and I left after 15 minutes of watching the dance. There wasn't really a designated area for the festival. I saw some tents that catered to the Native American festival theme, but that was about it. Meanwhile I was excited to see food vendors and cheap things you can bargain for. The place is so huge, we got lost a few times. Maybe there should be more signs and/or directories. Admission is free. Parking is $4. Be mindful of where you park and what you intend on purchasing. We parked near the entrance which is near the exit. It was a LONG walk to the main event and tents. We purchased a few items and carrying it back to the car was a workout! Perhaps we needed it because we stuffed our faces with roasted corn (elotes), and large "tacos" (machetes). For the most part, I enjoyed the place. I do, however, have a complaint. At the entrance it clearly says "NO PETS ALLOWED", and I even called ahead to ask if dogs were allowed and they made it clear that no pets are allowed. I saw about a dozen dogs there (not in service animal gear)! Even big dogs! Mine is a chihuahua. I was very upset about this. I understand it is a liability issue but I feel like if you're going to have a policy against it, enforce it. read more

I usually bring my mom here for the annual Native American Pow Wow and we always have a great time. You only pay $4.00 to park and are free to walk around and find some good deals. We also come when we're running low on our all-natural products such as incenses and dog shampoos. We would probably come here more often if it weren't almost an hour away. There are plenty of stations to hit up for food or a nice refreshment while shopping. A band is usually always playing under the covered area and you are encouraged to bring your own chair. My new neighbor takes me on Houston tours every month or so. I love her excitement as she takes me to her favorite places. She convinced me on going to this one saying it was a "Farmer's Market". I'm all about buying food, so we went. I spent 15 years in El Paso, TX and this place was like visiting Downtown El Paso, just widely amplified. There's food, all kinds of vendors, and the feeling that you are in a very large garage sale. We found some vendors we thought were very neat. There is a knives and swords shop. There was an LP shop. My daughter recently got a record player for Christmas and she had quiet some fun browsing through the huge collection they had. There are all sorts of sign shops, both wood and metal, and another shop where you can buy rocks and crystals and anything you need to align your chakras. A bottle of wine aligns mine, but it was a nice store with lovely jewelry and more rocks for my daughter's collection. All in all, we had a good experience. Probably not a place we will visit again unless is some something specific. Maybe I'll buy my husband a sword instead of another gun. They did have some produce, but nothing I really needed. read more

Sandra was extremely rude and I will not be coming back here because of the encounter I saw with Sandra and her employees. I have literally never in my entire life seen someone be so mean to somebody for clearly no reason. This is not the first time I have seen Sandra be rude but this was my final strike, she was yelling at her employees at the rides and snapping at the employees for seemingly nothing. I have gotten word from other patrons that she is always rude to employees and people in general. We had a good time. You have to sift through a lot of garbage, but eventually you find something good at a good price. I guess it is really too early to be writing a review on this place; but not sure when I will return, as it it took me awhile to make my first visit. I was in the area getting an oil change, and decided to swing by traders village since it was just down the road. I really picked the wrong day to come here, as it was a little to hot to be walking around a huge flea market. Because of the heat, and really not having on comfortable shoes, I did not stay long. I am fortunate i found a close parking spot near entrance ( I had a feeling it would not be easy to find my car if I had not found a convenient spot to park). The parking lot is huge, but there were a lot of empty spots, so I guess this was a good time to visit. I will say that I can't give a totally accurate account of this place because I did not stay long, but I am sure it is like any flea market for the most part; but what I did see, I have seen better flea markets in Ohio! I will definitely come back when it is not so hot, and wearing better walking shoes, if not for anything but as a getaway for the day. Tired of movies? Malls? Fancy restaurants and nothing else to do? Well here is a place where you can burn a couple of hours looking at pets, perfumes, clothing, furniture, electronics, eating "Fair" type foods while your kids ride the carnival type machinery location toward the back of this flea market type business. Parking is still $3 as of September 2013, the is plenty of parking. Depending on which direction down 290 you are traveling, if you are going toward downtown, you will exit when you see "Eldridge Rd", take a right and you can't miss it, it is on the right. Coming FROM downtown you exit and take a left on "Eldridge Rd", it will also be found on the right. You will only miss it if you drive with your eyes closed. It is an outdoor flea market so if it is hot outside, expect the same in there. There are however places that are semi enclosed that have a/c and most of the store stalls are covered so you are not exactly burning. The carnival type rides for the kids is about $2 each or $9 for an all you can ride pass. Don't expect a Ferris wheel here but there is staple carnival ride Merry go Round, bumper cars and things that go round and round to throw your equilibrium. I believe this flea market closes around 6 p.m. There are also pets that are sold here especially in the canine pedigree department. I read another person's review that said they bought a dog for $600, it died a short time after and would not get refunded their money even though there was a "gaurantee" and a "bill of health" that accompanied the dog so be careful. So I've been here twice already. Each time I have been overwhelmed with both anxiety and eagerness to see everything and possibly wreck my Wells Fargo savings. Don't expect anything to boujie or high quality products unless they're handmade like the jewelry. Road trip to one of the biggest flea markets in Houston? Count me in. Located 45mins away from me, Traders Village offers a great place for people watching, and walking around exploring trinkets. First time visiting last Saturday, and I had a blast. It was interesting walking around and just looking. Peaceful and calming. I enjoy reading other people's experiences on here as well. All in all, I didn't buy anything except some food. A lot of stuff looked like it belonged in a garage sale. Saw dirty baby strollers for sale and wondered if anyone really buys them. Do Not Buy Appliances or Electronics! This place is fraud especially Dave Dees shop. I paid Dave Dees for air hockey table. Even tipped him a bit extra to bring it 10 min away from him to my condo. He loaded into my condo with all the other moving boxes and a month later when I finally opened it in my new house? It had a big tear in the top of the table rendering it useless. He said he was going to try to either fix it or take it back and after a month of several no call no shows I messaged him saying it felt like fraud at this point. his wife texted back saying I was basically screwed.
