It's a decent store, but when the cashier Andrew G. asked what brought me to Arizona after I said I had just moved here and was experiencing an issue with my bank account, I mentioned the political climate there being hostile to which he laughed in my face (claiming Arizona was no different) and made me feel extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable as I made my payment. I didn't say it to have a political conversation. It was just the answer to his question which needed no commentary. It was very unprofessional and rude. read more

This trader joe is located in a kind of lux style shopping area. Nearby coffee stand sells good ice coffee. The main reason I picked Trader Joe to shop here, not WHOLE FOODS today is because we wanted less spicy foods. I guess The main difference of those two are "WHOLE FOODS has more SPICY FOODS and SPICES" and Joe is not. If you like spicy ethnic like Hispanic, South Korean & Szechuan and South American foods, then You would enjoy more WHOLE FOODS rather than Joe's. Trader Joe's ASIAN FROZEN FOODS are something we enjoy the most as it does not sell Japanese food as Chinese. I never have heard that Joe's food has any MISLABELING on Frozen foods either...like placing MADE in USA label on MADE IN CANADA products. These mislabeling issues used to be a huge issue. I do not really believe people who are in need drive up here very often, but I had a very weird experience the other day. There was a tanned woman with a child walking around us, glaring...while we have never met them before. I was discussing with my husband how to make our food and she kept glaring us...saying to her child "I am sorry that I brought you here." Keep glaring someone you never met, keep walking around them is very unusual. We had a woman in our neighborhood, acted very similar to her. She was with kids, and her husband is away most of the time. She did not need to work, she visits a fancy mall or restaurant anytime, but she always look for an attention from everybody. She is a nice person at first, but once she finds something she hates, she started to cause a trouble in our neighborhood. One time, she visited our home just to burst out, cried out loud like a kid. Very emotionally unstable. Fortunately, we knew which church she goes, so we were able to discuss with her priest if necessary...but, I cannot do anything for people in the supermarket. Everyone can have a midwife crisis, I understand, but there is a better place to ask for a help, I believe. Honestly, if you are shopping in a fancy mall district, many people assume that you can hire a good counselor. Getting a better health service costs you a little more, but purchasing a good healthcare service is nothing different than purchasing good groceries. ...I am not saying she was being stingy on her own care, but I do not believe anybody will find a proper medical care at the vegetable aisle. People also follows their own community or religious guidelines. Asking a mental support or an attention to people whom you do not even know which church community they belong to is not so efficient. I am thinking to email to Trader Joe's HQ on my experience even though they cannot do much, but I decided to share my experience, just for people in case experience the same kind of things....When we shopped here in December, it was very peaceful. Unfortunately, our family decided to do grocery shopping more at Colorado, as they have wide variety of organic stuffs and more REALISTIC in their sales. Who is buying, and What is bought, When it happened...those basic information they obtain from the Cashier are, I feel, not really well be used to increase their sales. Trader Joe's employees know which Isle we should go to purchase a specific goods very well, but I feel that they are very isolated from other neighborhood businesses. It is true that Wichita is getting empty just like a ghost city of Missouri we have visited, and I would recommend people to shop here during the Christmas season definitely, as it is the most peaceful time to walk around Kansas. read more

This is a bit of paradise in a big city. There is so much food I want to try! I can't list all of the exotic stuff, but I would enjoy coming here at least once a week for something to try out. This is the rich cousin to Aldi. I love them both! read more

We love Trader Joe's. We love walking down each aisle looking at the variety of foods and items available that aren't in every other grocery store. Produce, meat, and dairy are similar to a run of the milk grocer, but TJ's has a variety of frozen goods and other packages items that are store specific. They also carry seasonal items who h are fun to try. Prices are fair especially for more organic or specialty items. read more

This was my first visit to a Trader Joe's, and it will certainly be my last. The selection was abysmal. They didn't have most of the items they advertised. Most of the people there, crew members included, had a snooty attitude. The cashier seemed in a huge hurry to usher my son and myself out of the store and we were only too happy to oblige. However, at that day they were unavailable. Ralph Tapia promised us to call in several days, as soon as the store receives those flowers. It is so nice to have a TJ's here in Wichita. The store seems a little small compared to the ones I'm used to but for the most part they carry everything I need. The staff is so helpful and will even look up product information if you can't find something. They have a variety of different food preferences for Omni and plant friendly patrons which is great when serving a mixed room. Overall, TJ's is a familiar face and we are all excited they are here! read more
