This is not about the store, though it's obvious that it has gone downhill since 2020 with the greed as far as jacking prices way up, rather this is about their brand of crockpot liners. I know, I know, plastic is bad. I picked these up for faster clean up months ago and just used one today for the beef stew I made my family. Worst decision ever. Walking in the door after work and the house smells amazing and we're hungry after being out in this weather all day. That's where the good ends. I take off the lid and immediately the smell hits me. I can only explain it as being a strong chemical smell. I ladle out some food in case maybe I imagined it and I was hit with it again as I put the ladle up to my nose. Whyyyy????!!!!! I had to toss the entire thing which for a family on one income is devastating. Thanks Kroger! I'm not going to bother reaching out since the last time I did email to ask about getting them to carry a specific product I received attitude. And I know you won't reimburse me for the food I tossed. If you have these liners I suggest you get a refund ASAP and if you are like me and past the return window, toss them. read more

I've been ordering from Dillons.com (online only), and it's been the BEST experience of any major online brand. Dillon's warehouse people do an exceptional job ensuring the items they ship are well protected, don't leak everywhere, and don't break and make a mess. In contrast, if you read my recent review about Target.com, they are a hot mess and have been for years with zero improvements. I'm so glad I gave Dillons a shot because out here in California, all major online brands like Amazon, Target, and Walmart refuse to get their acts together. Give Dillons.com a try, and you'll probably be surprised at how much better they are than the brands most of us Westcoasters are familiar with. read more

I live literally right across the street from a Dillon's, but I choose to drive several miles to the Dillon's Marketplace because the selection is better, they have kitchen supply stuff for me to peruse, and if I ever wanted to pick up a futon or dresser with my Lean Cuisines, I could do it here. Dillon is a division of Kroger, which is pretty good as far a supermarket chains go, but any supermarket that offers a membership program means that it artificially inflates prices for those who aren't members. By extension, I can't really trust the price on anything they sell, but it's either this or Wal-Mart, so what are you going to do? read more

after living here in Wichita five months and shopping at the grocery store I decided to get a plate lunch at the "Bistro" counter yesterday. Two pieces of fried chicken two sides and a drink for $6.50. Good food and a great value. Convenient and a big selection. Ill be back soon! read more

LET ME TELL YA, when you think of dillons having boring tasteless sushi, you may be extremely shocked to the not so hidden truth, that DILLONS SUSHI IS ACTUALLY AMAZING! I know that most people have dillons set in their mind as a grocery super center that's not too bad but not too good, only for people who stay in their comfort zone... but there still are some HIDDEN TREASURES in this super center gas station grocery store whatchamacallit. Sushi is just one treasure, along with crossants, florals, and garlic bread. Feel free to find your own treasure. No judgement here. Be warned: with great quality comes great expense. Just because it's a grocery store doesn't mean it's going to be cheap, but it is pretty convenient. read more

Even if Dillions is a large chain of Safeway, they are a my favorite grocery store. They have everything from fresh flower for the wife for special days, ready made foot long sandwich's, or fried chicken. I get one of the foot long sandwich's and a bag of chips to take in for lunch at work and it will feed three of us with no problem. I also get my gas from Dillions or one of the Kwikshop locations. You get a 2, 3 or 4 cent discount with your free Dillions discount card. Have to say I do nearly all my grocery shopping at Dillions, and find that with the discount card I always save over any other grocery store around. If it wasn't a chain it would be 5 stars all round, but then the prices would be higher. read more

I went looking to review this Dillons while I was in Wichita but failed to find the proper address until today. This is a Dillons worth writing about. I've been to several other Dillons stores in both Wichita and Newton but this one is just HUGE. Where you have most grocery stores, think of this one like a "Super" Dillons. It has a lot sections in it that normal Dillons stores dont. They have a furniture department, a large beauty department, and even a large section dedicated to organic foods. The place itself is very large, clean, and even the shopping cart return areas has it's own enclosed area (saving one from the rain, cold, etc). I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for a lot of variety. Will be returning when I visit again. read more

I think its funny that I am writing a review on a grocery store, but it has almost everything. This grocery store, from what I was told was built to compete with the large Wal-Marts that have everything. In other words, Dillons views Wal-Marts entry into the grocer market a threat, so, in order to compete they had to step up their concepts. Okay, enough business talk. I haven't tried the sushi here, I know, how strange! I've had mixed results from quick sushi places in the past and didn't want to waste my time with it. On the other hand, I have tried their sesame chicken in the deli and hot food section. I was very pleased with the quality of this dish. I think the hardest part in making this plate is keeping the fried part crunchy with glaze on it. Extremely difficult in my opinion, but they somehow pull it off. Not to mention, its inexpensive. As for the grocery side of things, they have the biggest organic selection of any other mainstream American grocer in town. If you go to some of the health food stores in town you might find a few more products. read more

This review is for the salad buffet. The variety of ingredients are pretty ok, it's always fresh and clean. Vegetables, chicken, fruit, all you can eat for 8$, not bad at all. Fast service, normally there are NO huge line. read more

We have used this Dillons for several years and have loved our "Gucci" Dillons, until recently. The store completely dissolved the natural foods section and scattered it throughout the store, they also stopped carrying several of our favorite items. We've reached the point where we are going across the street to meet our needs or just ordering online, it's just not worth the frustration. I recently moved to Wichita. I've visited 2 different stores and found the staff to be very helpful and courteous.

Rented a rug doctor. Loaded up in the car, then unloaded to house. Started using it. Doesn't work when extracting the water. Called customer service explain situation. Asked could you have a employee deliver another one. Response. No. But you can Load it back up, drive here unload it. Pick up another one that may work. Let ad it back in your car. Drive home. Unload. Pray it works. Then once your done you get to do this all over again. read more

I have been a loyal customer to this store for years but two experiences I have witnessed in a three day timeframe have made me come to the decision I will be taking my business elsewhere. I witnessed two managers speaking badly about an employee in front of me as well as when she walked away. A very young sacker at that and also to another sacker that was mentally challenged. I also witnessed a Hispanic night shift security guard talking down to a black woman after he thought she stole something. He never apologized to her either. It is apparent there needs to be an ethics training across the board and I will not give you my hard earned money anymore and it will be a loss because I am a Spending customer. I have also noticed the hot food served at the cafe looks terrible, old, unclean and the area is in a mess. Upper management needs to come in and get this store together. I am appalled that I witnessed all of this foolishness during the holiday season. read more

The GM and other managers at this store do NOT care about handicapped people. They are not in compliance with their signage, and they know it. I have told everyone that works at this location for 52 weeks straight that 2 spots don't have signs and that there are not nearly enough spots at all, and nothing has changed. Kroger in Cincinnati doesn't care. Soulless cooperation!! Shame on you. read more

Something I also like is if I need a quick meal before or after I shop, I will have the seafood deparment cook some fish/seafood for me. You can choose from a list of flavorings and seasonings. And the cooking is free - you just pay for the product. read more

Ok....today is my birthday and my family ordered my cake one week prior. She ordered a cake with owls and they look like turkeys. It did not even have happy birthday. It just said happy 36 brandy. It was supposed to be brighter and it wasn't. They didn't even ask if she was happy with the finished cake or not. It appears that they didn't want yo fix the obvious problem. This is the best grocery super store in the state. Huge selection of organic and ethnic food. Great sushi and deli. A nice Bistro. Butcher and sea-food sections are great. Staff is super friendly and plentiful. You can find everything in one stop. Impressive that Dillon's/Kroger actively recruit and hire handicapable employees.
