You can also find khakis & trousers but where this place really stands out is w/ their Dirndls Taking fabrics that range from gingham cotton to shiny silks w/ inlaid beading, you will find off-the-rack dirndls as well as an entire wall of fabric bolts, in case you're looking to get 1 custom made Knowing we were just there for the afternoon & did not have the luxury of getting something custom, we made a beeline for the racks. Knee-length & full-length styles are available. I tried on both & decided on a shorter version in a fancy red & green patterned silk - after all, gotta support my German-by-marriage heritage! Mother In Law was thrilled I chose to get a dirndl & even more thrilled we purchased from her favorite store...and making my Mother In Law happy makes me happy Parting thought: Be prepared for some hefty sticker shock - you *will* be forking over a very pretty penny... these are not fancy-dress costumes! Their selection is not huge but they do have lots of different prices ranges from cheap to expensive. They have two levels of stuff and whilst the shop looks tiny from the outside, there is a fair bit of stuff inside. The selection of lederhosen and dirndl was good and the prices were also reasonable. It's a little bit away from the center of town and whilst there are other shops in the town center, the location meant better prices. We ended up buying some things and ended up getting a further reduction due to long weekend sale. Not a bad place to get traditional wear in Garmisch.
