We recently did a quick family getaway to Sarasota to celebrate the big 6-0 for my mom. Since the…read moreentire family would be getting together (a rare occurrence with everyone living in a different city), I thought it would be nice to get family photos. I reached out to a bunch of photographers via Yelp, including Gold Sun Studios. Allison responded immediately and when she explained her pricing model ($100 for 15 photos) I immediately asked what the catch was because I've hired several professional photographers in Chicago and that's by far the most affordable pricing I've seen. Not to mention her photos on Yelp and her website were really good! When she promised me there was no catch I booked Allison for an hour long sunset session on the beach of our hotel. She was very responsive leading up to the session and arrived right on time. And for once I even got my kids somewhere on time too- vacation agrees with us! We took a few photos of the entire family and then she ended up taking a bunch of candids of everyone. My kids were having a blast playing in the sand and getting wet; it was definitely one of the more relaxing and fun photo shoots we've done. The very next day (speedy!) I had all unedited photos in my inbox. I think narrowed it down to my 15 favorites and she returned the edited versions the very next day. And they perfectly documented this special trip/birthday. We really liked Sarasota so think we'll make our way back at some point and I would definitely call Allison again. in fact, I've already recommended her to everyone I know taking vacations there and/or are lucky enough to live in the area.

The sheer number of pictures they took was amazing. Guests loved the photo op staging area and my husband and I loved all of the pictures. Jerry was just getting started in the photography business and I was scared of how my pictures were going to turn out. But I could not have been more happier, the photos were just beyond anything we could have imagined. He and his wife make a wonderful team. He captures the natural spontaneous moments and she captures the more posed pictures. You get the best of both worlds. They offer way more then what their packages advertise. We have used them every step of the way from maternity, newborn delivery and now family photos. I would not go anywhere else. You get a lot for your money. God works in mysterious ways to bring people in our lives. And this was just one of his many blessings. About two or three years ago we discovered Jorge Blanco's Gallery Works at the Crystal River Mall,…read moreCrystal River, Florida, and flipped over his landscape and wildlife photos enlarged onto canvas. It was so fantastic that it took us forever to decide which two pictures we were going to buy. We ran around back and forth like crazy people trying to decide, knowing at the time we were renting and had no place to hang what we were buying. Now in our own home in Inverness, FL, the pictures have come out of storage and we are thrilled to have them hanging in the family room, perfectly illustrating the fascinating Suncoast - Gulf Coast landscape of salt marshes, rivers, lakes, exotic trees, Spanish Moss, boardwalks and hidden derelict docks that we have fallen in love with. Still having space to fill, and equally fond of Jorge's wildlife and waterfall pictures, we are now going to call him and go pick out more pictures to finish off the room. Two years ago we also had him enlarge onto canvas a group portrait of our daughter and her middle school soccer teammates - turned out great and was a hit as a Christmas gift two years ago. His western landscapes, etc. are stunning as well. Give him a call and feast your eyes on what he has to offer. We found his prices fair with some flexibility.
