Great event to attend if looking to see PGA players up close. Nice walkable course, friendly volunteers ushered everyone quickly from shuttles. Economical trip if driving in. Tractor seat and other farm touches like the tees make this a family friendly event which would be great for young kids to enjoy experience. read more

Made reservations a week early and arrived and no one knew we were coming (party of 6). Food came out so slow and not that busy at all but I think 45 minutes to wait for our food is way too long! Like I said not that busy at all! Also I was the only one who ordered a hot food item. And the food was not worth the wait or the amount of money. One gal ordered onion soup and it was basically all onions and no broth. And another gal ordered chicken salad sandwich and all it was, was chopped up chicken thrown on toasted bread. Was expecting more. Very intriguing property for building a top notch course but for the price, a bit underwhelmed. Course gets a lot of play so you can imagine the # of divots (filled) in the fairways. Tees were in rough shape for a course of this quality. Greens were quick but again, lots of play equals lots of repaired ball marks. Staff was just serviceable. Nothing special or welcoming. read more

Course was cart path only due to an inch of rain overnight (according to the starter). If the course can't handle an inch of rain, they should think about some better drainage. Maybe the first four or five holes, but the fairways were firm after that. There was no reason the 90 degree rule and rough was not put in effect after that. Absolutely the worst experience at TPC Deere Run in the last 13 years I've been playing here!!! The marshal's did not even adjust the playing time and still hounded our groups at every chance they could. My 70 year old father-in-law quit playing after the 4th hole. If TPC Deere Run is so worried about letting public golfers on the course after a little rain, then make it private. As for the food/beverage prices....holy cow!!!! $7.25 for a hot dog, $4.25 for a powerade and $25 for a six pack of domestic beer!!!!!!! Talk about sticking it to the golfer, again see making private above. I even cancelled tee times for our annual trip up there in July!!!! And to let it be known, they didn't even blink an eye at losing th $1,080 in green fees plus food and beverage money....again see comment above about making private. In summary, seems like the public golfer is second class citizen to them, make it private!!!!! read more

Started off as a great day! Sun was shining and we were going golfing....what could be better! The grounds and clubhouse people were awesome. The golf course had a shitload of rain, so we expected wet conditions. Due to all the rain, it was cart path only and there wasn't hardly anyone on the course. What we didn't expect is to see a ranger on almost every hole. Who wants to see a ranger that often?!?!? Especially since we were one of only 3 groups out on the course. One of the other 2 groups, was my brother and his foursome, so I knew they weren't in a hurry. Regardless, One of the Rangers came up to us and said that we needed to pick up the pace. It's not that he said that, it's the way he said it. After which, all four of us looked at each other and said "what an asshole"!! It's fucking soaked out on the course, it's cartpath only so we are basically walking the course, and there's only three fucking groups on the course...and we need to pick up the pace. Fuck that!! He really put a damper on the mood of my group. Thankfully, a couple holes later, another Ranger (weird, I know) came to my group and apologized for the guy and said that the guy didn't even have the starting times and that my group was only five minutes behind schedule. This ranger was super friendly and gave us a better feeling about the course. My only regret is that I did not get the first ranger's name. The long and short: 1-would not recommend playing this course when it's cartpath only. 2-be prepared to see a ton of rangers. 3-The course is beautiful, but it just needs to dry out. 4-Watch out for the one asshole ranger, who doesn't even know what the fuck he's doing!! You'll know him when ya see him!!! read more

It was a very special experience to be able to play a course that I have seen on TV so many times. The course was in pristine condition, and the staff was wonderful (especially the starter Judy.) The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I did not see any Deeres Running. read more

This course is phenomenal! I played 18 here yesterday (just a few weeks prior to the JDC), and I couldn't be happier with my experience. It was so much fun to play, and the scenery is beautiful. When I think of Illinois golf, I expect to see a very flat course, but this was quite the opposite. There was enough going on to make the course challenging yet fun, and DEFINITELY worth the money. I'd recommend this to anyone in the area. read more

WOW!! We've had our outing here the past ten or so years (16-24 golfers per year) and this past weekend was so much different from the other ones. First of all we all knew that the weather was going to be an issue for Saturday but the pro shop was only concerned about taking our fees and not worrying about when we were going to tee off. Attitude of all members of the pro shop was unbelievably lacking. It was hard to believe we were at the same place! The pricing has increased significantly. Lets just say that the course was fine for the elements but everything other than the course has never been so disappointing. As a QC native I love this course! Great layout and use of trees and river. Great ability to play to the type of player you are too. Not ridiculous for high handicappers and yet can be challenging even for the best. They run a great PGA tourney here too. read more

I play here probably 2 to3 times per year. The course is usually fun and challenging, however had a few issues this time around. #1 Paid $95 rate but the grass tees were closed and was hitting from matts. Understandable since we are moving towards fall, but wait there is more! They DID NOT inform us that the signature hole #16 was under repair and we chipped onto the green from a makeshift teebox . We effectively played 17 holes, no price reduction. Along with the bumpy aerated greens it was a very low quality experience. read more

Outstanding property and an excellent design of the golf course using the natural contours and the Rock River Valley. Every hole is unique. Most golfers will end up using 13 or 14 different clubs. read more

The golf guru is back.... The Tournament Players Club at Deere Run, located just outside the beautiful Quad Cities is an expertly PGA run golf course. Well kept, reasonable prices(particularity cheap in the spring), and the staff is excellent. A must play for anyone in the visiting Quad City area. read more
